February 10, 200917 yr THAT MAKKA PAKKA HAS JOINED UP WITH HIS NATIONAL TEAM !!!! I DIDNT KNOW PORTUGAL HAD AN INTERNATIONAL 'ROCK PAPER SCISSORS ' TEAM . OH AND WHILE I,M AT IT - ELMANDER HAS GONE TO JOIN UP WITH SWEDEN !!! AM I MISSING SOMET HERE .
February 10, 200917 yr They are playing Finland so is Jussi playing? Makka is still highly rated in Portugal, he's unfit rather than utter shit despite what people on here would have you believe; like many a player BFS signed over the years.

Whilst l acknowledge that his lack of fitness may explain why he looks fcuked after 40 minutes, it doesn't excuse his poor touch, poor decision making, lack of shooting ability and generally looking anything but a Premiership footballer.

But if you're unfit it's a lot harder to do all the above! It seems that Carlos knows a bit more about Portugese footy than most on here. I'll go with his superior knowledge in the hope that Makakula will turn out to be a good un.
February 10, 200917 yr Whilst l acknowledge that his lack of fitness may explain why he looks fcuked after 40 minutes, it doesn't excuse his poor touch, poor decision making, lack of shooting ability and generally looking anything but a Premiership footballer. huh, i take it you dont play football then??
February 10, 200917 yr don't take this the wrong way but your not exactly a good judge are you? infact, your anything but fcuk me that didn't take long - the very next post and within 2 minutes. As a few on here are hoping for, I am looking for a hat-trick with Makka Pakka - but this challenge is a tough one
February 10, 200917 yr huh, i take it you dont play football then?? not at the level that Makka Pakka plays at.
February 10, 200917 yr Against Spurs i thought he got into some very clever positions and his movement was quite good. I think he will be a decent player when he is up to speed with the premiership, it would be ideal to give him last 20-30 mins as sub for a few weeks when Elmander is back fit.
February 10, 200917 yr Makka Pakka is seriously unfit. He has shown a few signs of promise. This is just like when Elmander arrived, he wasnt fit and looked really poor. But when he finally got a bit of fitness (Boro game) he played really well and started scoring.

I thought against Stoke 1st game of the season he played one of the best games he has for the club apart from Sunderland away

February 10, 200917 yr so your statement then was erm b0llox ! No it wasnt. Bar the Stoke game in which he did tire after 60 minutes he looked really unfit and played poor up and till the Boro game.
February 10, 200917 yr No it wasnt. Bar the Stoke game in which he did tire after 60 minutes he looked really unfit and played poor up and till the Boro game. Possibly because he did get injured against Newcastle and then took a while to get his stride back
February 10, 200917 yr Possibly because he did get injured against Newcastle and then took a while to get his stride back Exactly he was unfit which is the whole point of my comment. People cant play to there potential when they are unfit. Give this guy a chance and he might turn out to be a decent striker.
February 10, 200917 yr No it wasnt. Bar the Stoke game in which he did tire after 60 minutes he looked really unfit and played poor up and till the Boro game. so basically your saying if hes doesnt score, then hes played poor?
February 10, 200917 yr so basically your saying if hes doesnt score, then hes played poor? i never said that
February 10, 200917 yr To give bwfcdan some support here, lets put the Stoke game into context - you could have driven a bus through the centre of their defence that day, so much so that three new defenders / defensive midfielders were signed that very week.

Could Rasiak have ran rings round them though?

I think the context you were using earlier in this thread and the fact Salamander was INJURED are two completely different uses of the term "unfit". In fact, I'd say you were now back pedalling; big time! Edited February 10, 200917 yr by MickyD
February 10, 200917 yr Could Rasiak have ran rings round them though? No but this thread has turned into the performance of Elmander that day. Yes he scored but I don't recall that goal coming from running "rings round them"
