Normally i dont give two hoots about an old firm match, but decided to attend the viewing at "The Knight Of St Columbia". Great crack wih all the scots and irish lads, then a good mate of mine walked in wearing a Rangers top. He came over for a chat, then he got asked to leave. I asked what was the problem, to be answered, he his quite welcome to come back in once the game has finished. Somehow i cant see this happening at "The Brindley". All scum and bindippers were massed together yesterday without any mither in pubs across the town, so why this game?

due to a clash of dates, the brindley hosted a christening for an oirish family.they brought

friends over from southern ireland and round britain, on the same day as the old firm final.

the christening party arrived at the pub to be greeted by the site of numerous gers shirted lads at the bar.

all was fine bit of banter,and sectarian songs ( from us not them )

when a friend of the paddys came back from paddys day parade in manc.

wearing a tricolor hat and waving a paddy flag.

 

flag was snapped hat dislodged and a small skirmish occured.

it finished with a car of paddys threatening the scots lad ,who did the flag.

saying your on our list, you will get it..

 

could have got messy....... but didnt

Clearly preposterous. A large amount of them, however, turned their backs on a recent Remembrance Day acknowledgement and, over decades, a good proportion identified their supporters groups with the label 'Provos' and glorified the actions of an evil terrorist group.

 

This may help explain why so many of us have such distaste.
