July 18, 200916 yr not quite the last one Harry Patch is still going & is now the old man in Britain. Strange thing to say about somone who's still living but he should be given a state funeral when he goes & joins his chums in the sky I'm not sure if it was france who did this when their last WW1 vet passed away. according to my research there's 2 Brits from WW1 still out there batting - Harry Patch and Claude Choules who now lives in Australia.
