Megson Protests

Unfortunately, there appears to be a reappearance of the Megson Out protests being planned on other websites and a minority of vocal 'fans' aiming to gather momentum in order to stage protests at the Liverpool game. I really hope this doesn't happen, despite being against his appointment, I do believe that we should hold our nerve and see where we are after 6 games or so. During which time I would like to see him get 100% support from the fans but this is looking decidely unlikely. Admittedly, we were poor on Saturday but we do have some decent players and may just eek out a result at Hull. At least WW isn't seeing the knee jerk fans planning a revolt, lets keep it together for the lads at Hull and against the Scousers, these will be difficult enough games without the protests! =D>

?Why does Megson yet again play three similar holding type midfielders? Last season it was Muamba/Nolan/McCann and then today it was Muamba/Davis/Mcann. Does he never learn? And why does he take too long to make any changes? The sands of time are running down for the ginger one.? ? Mounts Kipper on www.wanderersways.com

nolan, holding midfielder??

tut tut MK...

to be fair, for the last couple of seasons you could mistake nolan for a holding midfielder due to his inability to get forward

I did notice the Paul Robinson out-jumped thing when it was Kevin Davies that was out-jumped.

Are you off your fucking tits? Do you really think football clubs should make decisions based on what a load of anonymous fans write on the internet?

Thankfully, the club is run by people who know what they're doing, and not by a bunch of thick cunts who think scrawling a message on a bedsheet with a marker pen, then standing outside the stadium in their pyjamas, is a form of intelligent debate.

That's what some people were saying when we plunged down to the fourth division, tha knows.

That's just pedantic.

The point is they are not very mobile and didn't score many goals, or even threaten to.

The point still stands, picking three midfielders of that ilk at home is sh?te, cowardly almost.

Anyhoo .....

"Up until about halfway - I would say 23 games - nobody knows what kind of season they are going to have." Attributed to Megson.

I think he'll find that fans will do a check after 10 games, if only to compare with Sammy Lee's brief reign.

Otherwise I assume he knows that he's here for the long-term unless something disastrous happens and, as Sluffy says, it's ED's club, ED's money, ED's decisions. So a waste of time arguing over what WE think. It's like it or lump it or leave it time.
