Megson Protests

Unfortunately, there appears to be a reappearance of the Megson Out protests being planned on other websites and a minority of vocal 'fans' aiming to gather momentum in order to stage protests at the Liverpool game. I really hope this doesn't happen, despite being against his appointment, I do believe that we should hold our nerve and see where we are after 6 games or so. During which time I would like to see him get 100% support from the fans but this is looking decidely unlikely. Admittedly, we were poor on Saturday but we do have some decent players and may just eek out a result at Hull. At least WW isn't seeing the knee jerk fans planning a revolt, lets keep it together for the lads at Hull and against the Scousers, these will be difficult enough games without the protests! =D>

Couldn't agree more. Perhaps you can inform No Balls of our FA Cup wins, and having always been in the top division at some point in every decade since the start of the football league over 100 years ago. We're not Grimsby Town as Megson seems to think, and indeed some of the posters on here, we're bigger than them believe it or not.

You really are aptly named. My John Thomas would be intelligent enough not to try and teach some of the posters on here the history of our club.

Try looking at it another way. Some of us went through all of the doldrum years and what you have now is fcuking Valhalla (google it) by comparison. Yet still you moan.

Bolty - genuine question I started going the match in mid 80's as a kid so have never known anything like whats going on now - has it been worse and I'm not talking division we are in or quality of football I'm talking in fighting and shitty atmospheres at every home and some away games?

Wasn't moaning , I was backing up Russell Sprouts post in making the point that some people seem to think we should have the same ambitions as a team like Grimsby. Some people need a history lesson.

Here's a thought

Maybe the team simply froze on Saturday. Maybe they are human beings with the ability to read and were aware that the fans were ready to jump all over them if they didn't go out and bang 3 goals in during the 1st half.

Maybe they are a little confused as to why on the 1st day of the season they didn't get a trace of backing from the stands whilst the visiting team had all the noise raining down on them from one end.

Maybe all this made them extremely nervous - particularly the new lads - and they caved a little under the pressure. Maybe they have a right to expect a little faith on the 1st day of the season.

But no, they received only pressure and groans. Yes, they are well paid to play football. But they are human and know a negative atmosphere when there is one and this doesn't help.

And as for protests, well for the love of God....

are john and russell married, or are the wind-up alias's?

its certainly one of the two...

Homer, I'm off now mate, thanks for the banter. Can see it's been a busy day at the office for you. Dont have a J Arthur for a while, you'll be gozzy eyed enough

Everyone has an opinion russell if we all had the same one it would be boring. There isnt anything wrong with well thought out protests and if thats your/or anyone elses thing then go for it but 20 kids with a bedsheet stood outside ticket office just makes bolton and us look fuc**n stupid.

Some people only seem to have one opinion. Fuck knows what they'll do with their braincell once Megson has gone. Oh yeah, they'll move onto the next mon. Pondscum.

Anyway, I'm off to remind Bury, Huddersfield, Nottingham Forest and Ipshit of their former glories. Some of them were even in colour.

Frankly, sunshine, your constant references to me have become tiresome. Are you one of those people who skulks near the toilets at ESL & pretends to know me?

the inner sanctum know more about thomas than it realises

when we're ready, it will be outed

JT: our history counts for fuck all.

Saturday's performance fell way below what is expected of the team, however it would be rash to try and oust the manager after one game.

pleb

oi pig thats not nice :pardon:

Yes i mentioned this yesterday, cocks the lot of them, tramps

At the risk of getting the tirade of four letter words some have just learnt to spell, why should supporters at our club be expected to put up with things they believe are taking us in the wrong direction?

Bigger and better clubs than ours have experienced fans organised protests, and no I,m not advocating anything after one game. But if you read some of the posters on here:-

Don't turn up, you're a traitor

Do turn up, make sure nobody sees you muttering

Booing a poor performance is akin to being caught shagging your own Grandma.

Fans suggesting areas of the team need improving on certain websites should be deported.

I watched clubs like Coventry and Southampton struggle around the basement area for too many seasons before slipping away. Bet their fans wish they could have somehow influenced things differently. I would much sooner see fan action lead to change early in the season than when we are 7 points adrift with 2 games to go.

Regarding the bedsheet gang. We went on our season saving run straight after that. Not saying their small protest made a jot of difference, but I'll give it as much credibility as believing it was anything to do with inspirational intervention from Megson and Wigley.

This is your protest Russ, utter fcuking wankers,i feel very strongly about this,

i would galdly take a bat and knock theses fcukers into next week if i saw them outside the Reebok

I think I may join the protest, I've had my fill of the twat

We should have the same ambitions as teams like blackburn, wigan etc

Are the dingles calling for Fat sams head?

Yes Saturday was shit, but a protest at this point in the season would move us in to the slot just vacated by the Geordies of 'most idiotic fans in the premier league'

If he fails to get a striker in before the end of the transfer window then i reckon he'll be gone by christmas...only because i cant see us scoring goals with the team we have at the moment... and without goals we cant win games...

As for the protesters...well they're obviously not full shilings..

A normal day on the BN forum, I'm afraid.

not really one game though is it to be honest....

it's nigh on two seasons....

having said that the only thing that will see him go will be a player revolt in my opinion....

A normal day on the BN forum, I'm afraid.

Apparently I wouldn't be seen dead at the Reebok, despite the fact I can't remember the last game I missed. Oh aye, Northampton last year because I was working away, likewise Arsenal in the FA Cup. It's full of retards.

Apparently I wouldn't be seen dead at the Reebok.

I rarely see Casino coming out of the ground either! What an odd thing for that poster to say seeing as they probably know neither of you.
