Anyone know of any bonfires on thursday?

Bloody hell where is all the organised fires these days? Used to be everywhere.

I've just brought my daughter back from Bolton harriers on Long Lane. Came up through Top o'th Brow and one og the houses opposite the shops was hosting a little bonfire get together. I watched a firework, must have been a 3,000,000 shot repeater or something. Probably cost a few quid too.

Do they really need to be spending stupid money on expensive fireworks or should they spend it on clothes and food for thir kids?

 

Or am I being a killjoy snob?

 

 

You are presuming that they dont feed and clothe their children properly, just because the live in Top 0'th Brow doesnt necessarily make them bad parents. If they can offord it and the kids are well looked after its no one elses business.

No I wasn't presuming anything. It could have been the same remark for any other area of our Metropolis. The point was that a firework that size didn't come cheap. However much they spend on clothes for their kids, the cost of a night's worth of fireworks could have been spent on something more than a flash, bang box of gunpowder.
