That's the thing though, folk don't want to go in boozers because they're either shit or rough. It might not be right but it's how it is. I used to love going to the pub on a Friday night after work & I know I'm getting on a bit now, but I don't think that's the reason I shudder at the thought of doing that, it's because, well, pubs are, on the whole, shit. To be fair, Scotts isn't so bad on a Friday tea, but their staff, well we all know, they're shocking in the extreme.

Spice Valley in Horwich is great food, but service is usually abysmal and it's pretty pricey

 

Can't beat the Mumbai in Horwich at the moment - poppadoms/dips, any starter, any main, any rice and a side dish 5.95 takeaway, 7.95 in the week and 9.95 at weekends, good grub as well
