November 10, 200916 yr All those are shite and fookin ripoffs yeah look shite to me too get a good un at tesco for around 300 with windows 7 on it
November 10, 200916 yr Author All those are shite and fookin ripoffs great thats the first part answered and the other bit i don't want owt for 300+ quid i wanta machine thats fit for fcuking purpose if necessary, ill just get a desktop
November 10, 200916 yr IMO laptops under ?300 (new) are not really fit for purpose. Well, I wouldnt get one. Normally end up with some 1gb ram bit of shit. If you want something of decent value, your better off getting a desktop. You can pick some decent ones up for about ?325, but if your sticking to under ?300, I wouldnt get a laptop.
November 10, 200916 yr if you want it to run Footy manager it can't have an integrated graphics card, so that will rule out most cheap laptops
November 10, 200916 yr Right nobbers: let's cut to the fucking chase for once, shall we? Casino wants a laptop for surfing the net and playing Football Manager. What are the minimum specifications he needs and how cheaply can it be done?
November 10, 200916 yr Right nobbers: let's cut to the fucking chase for once, shall we? Casino wants a laptop for surfing the net and playing Football Manager. What are the minimum specifications he needs and how cheaply can it be done? around ?300 as stated
November 10, 200916 yr any laptop will do the job these days, but obviously the faster the cpu the better FM. cant see how hi end graphics would be required for FM. http://ecomm.euro.dell.com/dellstore/baske...db-16fbe35c0588 ?329 delivered.

November 11, 200916 yr Author just found this PC OS - Windows XP/Vista/Windows7 Processor - XP - 1.4ghz or faster Vista/W7 - 2.0hgz or faster Memory - XP-512MB Ram, Vista/W7 - 1GB Ram Video Card - 128MB minimum. Nvidia FX 5900 Ultra or greater; ATI Radeon 9800 or greater; Intel 82915G/82910GL or greater. Earlier cards may only display 2D Match Viewer Mode and are not supported. Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported.
November 11, 200916 yr it throws a wobbly on computers without a dedicated graphics card proably to do with the 3d match engine, my bro had a Vaio with integrated graphics and it ran epically slow. because it has igp isnt the problem. it depends if the igp is powerfull enough to start with. vaios are shite anyway so there :p
November 11, 200916 yr Sony Vaios are for girls only: that's why they come in all pretty colours. My brother is fashion victim extraordinare so the pretty colour was why he wanted it
November 11, 200916 yr My brother is fashion victim extraordinare so the pretty colour was why he wanted it There's nothing wrong with that! Ignore Mr. Colourblind!
November 16, 200916 yr right then computer nerds. the processor on this is it any good? or do i want at least a core 2 duo?
November 16, 200916 yr right then computer nerds. the processor on this is it any good? or do i want at least a core 2 duo? Depends what you want to do with it - If you're going to be doing something processor intensive like encoding video on a regular basis, then core 2 duo is going to be better / faster at carrying that out. If you're just watching Flash video porn, it'll cope admirably
November 17, 200916 yr Depends what you want to do with it - If you're going to be doing something processor intensive like encoding video on a regular basis, then core 2 duo is going to be better / faster at carrying that out. If you're just watching Flash video porn, it'll cope admirably Will it cope with AutoCAD civil 3D other than that i know it'll run anything i'm likely to throw at it.
November 17, 200916 yr Will it cope with AutoCAD civil 3D other than that i know it'll run anything i'm likely to throw at it. I dunno, other than does Autocad not have a minimum spec (processor/RAM/video card) to 'guarantee' accuracy? I think I heard that somewhere, and if it does, the Autocad site is probably the best place to head
