Did any of you permanently lose touch with the folks you stood with?
There was always a good 15/20 of us used to stand at the "white wall" (Burnden Paddock, towards Lever end, level with 18 yard line where the roof ended, at the back.)
We all got pissed and emotional after the Charlton match in town that night and vowed we'd all be sat together at the Reebok, but it never happened. We only knew each other on a matchday basis (obviously some of us were closer). On any given match, even the shite ones, you were assured at least 10 people you could stand with.
If only we could have hung on 5 more years when we all had mobiles, the atmosphere at the new place could have been soooo much better.
Incidentally, there was 1 chap called Gaz used to stand with us. A skinhead who was always stood on that wall when decisions weren't quite right. Hard to miss cos he looked like Henry Rollins in a REALLY bad mood. Anyone know him?
Don't want this ruining Casino's thread.
