Red Wine

Right,

Some of you off here are more into the proper stuff than I ever will be but I found a couple of favorites that I like. Now then, I have taken the WW advice and bought myself a bottle of Chateauneuf-du-Pape and it is indeed rather nice but can I say it is better than a decent bottle of Rioja at half the price? I have to say no. Therefore have I bought a dud one (like all varieties will have) or do I try another bottle of the same or different? :pardon:

Usually, I don't drink white wine, unless I'm being polite at somebodies house. Although Mrs CWP does drink white, she recently bought 6 bottles of, and I shit ye not, a white, yes a white, Chateauneuf du Pape (Chateau Mont-Redon 2007) which is chuffing lovely................but at 17 quid a bottle it want's to be

The real issue ought to be, Rose...............what's that all about?

Well you see, there's an exception to every rule isn't there: Lauren Perrier! :D

Oh & MG, no it doesn't but complete dismissal of something doesn't either. Each to their own.

I'm with NB on this one.

Just because I drank some bloody vinegar on my way to finding a drinkable red wine didn't lead me to think all red wine is vinegar.

If someone's limit of red wine quaffing relies on ?3.50 bottles of plonk from Sainsbury then maybe all "red wine really is shit, end of!"

After tasting a bit of red, i can honestly say i will never in my life let that sh*te touch my mouth again, i needed to remove it before i spew.

I always thought wine was a girls drink.

Rose wine is a bit like a bisexual.

Can't decide whether it wants to be White or Red.

Also a bit like those Bolton Reds ie wank.

I always thought wine was a girls drink.

And why's that then?

Did you know that Rose wine has to be made using red and white grapes from scratch (you can't just produce a white then chuck a glug of red in it to make it rose) but champagne is an exception that is produced as normal then red is added after.

Winchester Whites uninteresting factoid of the day! :D

Now I didn't know that. That has mildly interested me. Maybe that's why it tastes much better than rose wine.

Hehe, you were on about having a maul, thats what I was laughing about...

You do surprise me Winchester White.Discussing having a maul with the next door neighbour indeed.

Cider's for wimmin.

 Just had a vision of R walking intert man & Scythe and bellowing that at the top of his lungs.

Bolton Diver. I am not wrong. I am as equally as right as you. Yes, the Margaret River region is a magnet to wine buffs. Pretty part of the world too.

To those that like wine, enjoy it to the max. Just don't fcuking spout on at me about 'blackcurrant tones' and 'oak after palates'. I really don't give a fcuk.

I don't think he was expecting to be charged for it, or 6 other people had been there earlier in the evening, to be fair.
