TroySwoosh Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Thinking of watching the remake of the Firm toneet, I know it's probably not a patch on the original but is it still worth watchin?
barryk32 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Thinking of watching the remake of the Firm toneet, I know it's probably not a patch on the original but is it still worth watchin? Watched them both one after the other the other night, thought they were both shit.
Underpants Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 (edited) Are we talking The Firm Hoolie or The Firm Tom Cruise? Edited January 30, 2010 by Underpants
TroySwoosh Posted January 30, 2010 Author Posted January 30, 2010 Are we talking The Firm Hoolie or The Firm Tom Cruise? The hoolie one. Bexy!
Underpants Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 The hoolie one. Bexy! All hoolie films are shite FACT! Would rather watch rugby league while Coldplay are blasting out of my stereo at max volume.

Underpants Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 (edited) Lets agree to disagree on that one Just so we understand each other - I would rather watch rugby league while Coldplay are blasting out of my stereo at max volume because that to me is hell, but only just above all the hoolie films I've seen Edited January 30, 2010 by Underpants
TroySwoosh Posted January 30, 2010 Author Posted January 30, 2010 Just so we understand each other - I would rather watch rugby league while Coldplay are blasting out of my stereo at max volume because that to me is hell, but only just above all the hoolie films I've seen Got that bit, dont think they're all that bad tho. The original Firm is a classic, is/was the only hoolie film that stands out above all the others, crap like green street/I.D would agree with you about, Football factory was ok(ish) but thats about it, just dont want to be let down by this remake being a load of crap. will keep The fourth Kind on standby methinks
Underpants Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Hoolie films are just not gritty enough, they don't catch that feeling of actually going to a match were there might be some bother, and the fights scenes are rubbish - too much Hollywood in them. If someone can do a ducu-film then they might be on to a winner. Rule 1 for making a half desent hoolie film - the word steeeeeeam must have it's place.

THunter Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 The new version has the same director as The Football Factory. Think I'll give it a miss. Then again the old version is one of the worst films I've ever seen.

Smiffs Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Rule 1 for making a half desent hoolie film - the word steeeeeeam must have it's place. It also needs windmillng and lots of fat men who simply can't be arsed running.
Mounts Kipper Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 (edited) It also needs windmillng and lots of fat men who simply can't be arsed running. Sounds more like it, I could never watch a hoolie film suprised anybody who had gone to football over the years would bother. Edited January 31, 2010 by Mounts Kipper
Whizz Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Also needs a few pricks who shout "charge" while at the front and somehow end up at the back.
Casino Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 i've seen worse, but the soundtrack was the best bit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XZ7gi1VRwU
