Whatever your opinion is about him, there is no doubt he still has the ability to do what he does in this video below, it doesn't matter now, but if England had a freekick in the last minute of the World Cup final i would want Beckham to be playing, there is still no one better than Beckham for England at set pieces and crossing, has he has proved even in these recent times. His last game for England against Belarus was a little controversial, he got man of the match and only came on as a sub.

 

I'm not bothered about his personal life, just like i really don't care about what's happening with John Terry, Beckham has had his bad times for England, like v Argentina, but he bounced back, like his missed pens vs France and Portugal, but he bounced back, when he stepped down as England Captain, people thought his England career was over, he came back, tried his best to play for England, he went to Ac Milan for 2 seasons to be match fit and play at a decent level, if memory reminds me correctly, Beckham was our better player against Holland and Spain in this past year.

 

He's still a very good sub to have, and if it wasn't for him, maybe we wouldn't of seen England play in South Korea/Japan, maybe we wouldn't of even got past the group stages in the last World Cup.

Gutted for him. Beckhams a genuine nice bloke in a game littered with tossers imo. His experience and attitude would have helped our younger players.

no not really, and if they do beat a full class full back, their end product is usually pretty poor. its not just going forward aswell, if we come across a exceptionally good winger, for example, meesi, or david silva, your going to be needing help from your out wide midfielders, for me walcott,lennon, and SWP lack discipline and a footballing brain for when they go wandering that they need to help out the full backs.

We now have only one 'world elite' player in Wayne Rooney.
