At the BFC player of the year awards Chris Eagles and Tyrone Mears went round shaking hands with staff saying thanks but i wont be at the club next season.

Both wandered in last thursday with tails between their legs but have since both met with Laws and neither want to stay. However Eagles was at training this morning and stayed behind after to do extra shooting practice.

I know hes a bit of a puff but he trains very hard!

Eagles is also wanted by Everton i'm led to understand.

 

Caldwell has no club so OC is doing him a favour so he stays fit.

Would he be happy signing just to be on the bench.

No he won't be happy, but I don't see him breaking into our 1st team, he's not better than what we have IMO. So if we sign him[he's talented for sure] I think he will on the bench along side our other bench warmers like Weiss was before Lee got a break.

For the means of not being pedantic I will suggest that 'most' pro's would prefer not to sit on the bench.

Chris Eagles (if thats who were talking about) would be one of these based on how hard he works in training and general attitude.

 

Bogarde was a classic contradiction of this but i would expect also rare.
