For anyone not going to Arsenal on Saturday, Chorley FC have a big match at home to AFC Fylde. They are expecting a big crowd for this game between two of the title favourites. I went watching Chorley last night (Biffo was there too) and Gary Flitcroft has got them playing some amazing football. They won 5-2 and it could easily have been 5 more.

I think its only ?3.50 to get in if you take your BWFC season ticket. They also have offers for kids.

If your not doing anything on Saturday, get down to Victory Park, you really really enjoy some quality football at a proper non-league ground.

Alternatively, if you live over this neck of the woods [Atherton] the Colls are at home against Chadderton, Colls went top of the league on Monday night after stuffing Darwen 7-0. As Horwich says, quality football at a proper non league ground :good:

Was at Victory Park last night as well.

Amazing attacking football in the first hour ..... before Chorley declared at 5-1 ahead. And Prescot were no mugs.

That's 6-0, 6-2, 4-1 and 5-2 in the first 4 league games.

But ....... I fancy an FA Cup tie on Saturday.

Alder house has got to be the biggest hole in the Bolton area, however it does please me to see Colls doing well.

Not a clue why you say that, but it takes all sorts. :unknw:

Anyway, Colls won today 3 - 1 against a potential title cotender, good game, good football, good crack and good beer :good: :drinks:

Took a trip 'abroad' for an FA Cup tie ........ Frickley Athletic (nee Colliery). See-saw game ending 3-2 to the home side as Kendal Town (nee Netherfield) blew it late on. Great chips & gravy !

And if you think Lancashire has some God-forsaken corners, try 'God's own county'.

I played for Colls a few years back & it was horrible place then, returned a few times fairly recently to play them in the Hospital cup & Goldline & yes nothings changed it's still horrible from the changing rooms, sloping pitch & mouldy club house.

Don't mean to be offensive about it really but LR is only a tad better.

I played for the Colls 37 years ago and the set up is pretty much the same now, horrible - no, it is a crackin friendly club with some folk who were there when I played still working hard for the place, it is a sad fact of life that the local scrotes break in regularly and undo any work that has been done meaning any 'spare' cash goes on repairing the damages done by the said scrotes. I also played for LR many years ago and I preferred the Colls

When I said "horrible" no way did I mean the people who work there, just the pitch & facilities let the place down.

Admitadly it's a sad fact of life that the youth of today take pleasure in dismantling or destroying any work done to make something look good.

I had a good time with Colls Jimmy (forgot his surname) in his wheel chair whacking you with his walking stick telling you you were shit today etc

Painey flying round the pitch in his Cavalier with the roller on the tow bar.

Calor gas heaters in the corner of the clubhouse / changing rooms...

Happy days me thinks.

It`s a crying shame for Atherton colls, each time they get some form of grant some scroat comes along and vandalises the place. What really should be allowed is for a tower to be built in the vacinity of alder house with a rocket launcher and sub machine guns, any potential vandals would then be taken out simples.

I was away for a few days. Got to Stenhousemuir-Forfar yesterday. Decent match. No chips though - just burgers & odd pies.

Agree about Chorley - get along to Victory Park sometime soon.

Next Saturday Chorley are at home to Durham City. I predict Chorley scoring 10(ten) goals.

I was watching Horwich Genesis, just like in the 80s when Chorley nicked all Horwich's best players.

I'll be there Saturday.

Chester food was shit. Pot noodles or ball all else.

Ah, but it's FA Cup day again on Saturday ..... and Chorley fooked it up at Salford in an earlier round.

Anyway, Durham aren't the walk-over they were last season. 10 might be optimistic.

Chorley are a big team these days and like all top teams don't play their first team in Micky Mouse cups. We're gonna win the league.
