:good:

Good stuff tonight, Satan: nice to blow a few mental cobwebs away and also remember the good old days when we really were shit.

Thing is Traf, as shite as we may have been, our upbringing never allowed us to go and pick a different team.

I feel really sorry for kids today for kids who pick Chelsea or Man U to support. Their parents won't, in most cases, ever take them to their first match.

The pride will never get seen by dad as he leads his child up into the stadium. The excited child seeing his chosen team's home ground for the first time.

I really do blame the parents.

Yes, I agree. Despite us being shit, they really were the good old days.

You didn't choose your team based on Sky coverage etc: you supported the local team through thin and thin.

My kids didn't have a choice. And it's not their local team ( thank fcuk).

That's proper parenting.

Well done.

My kids didn't have a choice either. I've never once had to carry out my threat to make them drink a bottle of bleach if they ever uttered the words, "i support man u!"

You're obviously not as old as a lot of us then.

There was a time when they didn't have a billionaire ogliarch to bankroll their climb up the league.

I saw us play Chelsea several times in the 70s and early 80s

But we didn't play them when were in the lower divisions with Tony Kelly in the team

I wasn't aware that shitness and Tony Kelly were linked.

I'm not sure about the relevance of your post.

Mind you, I often think that.
