I'd say describing anyone who has a leaning to Celtic as 'IRA supporting scum' as pretty sectarian myself.

Sweeping generalisation maybe if you like but sectarian? No.

there is a section of the celtic support who are ira supporting scum

there is a section of the rangers support who are uvf supporting scum

its indisputable

'tis true.........however, I am always suprised why English folk are that bothered about what happens in the Porridge-Wog league. Honestly, why are folk that bothered, do they also get wound up about the Al Ahly v Zamalek, Hearts v Hibs or the Glentoran v Linfield games?

Celtic and Ranger are both as bad as each other, as Cassie says, they both have very unsavoury elements to their support. I have a friend who is a Celtic fan, and I know it will dissapoint Bolty immensly, but he doesn't support the IRA or agree with their actions. The same bloke has a brother-in-law who supports Rangers, and shockingly, he's not pro UVF either, again I know this will upset some on here (and for what it's worth, he cringes when he sees pictures of the Queen wearing a Rangers shirt, because in his opinion, its "fucking pathetic") - anyway, my point is it's just football, it's really not that important

It's terrible that UVF is seen as a sectarian drug dealing gangster gang these days.

Originally the UVF was a batallion of the British Army who fought bravely and was decimated at the Somme. Much like the batallions in these parts.

Unfortunately the abhorant actions of the latter day UVF, much like the latter day IRA, cause offence on all sides & although I am a regular at Ibrox I wish the chants would go away.

It has much more to do with Buckied up neds than political idealism thats for feckin sure.

Not at all. My stepmother is from Limerick. Her extended family has a fair number of Celtic sympathisers but no IRA sympathisers I am aware of. Nicer bunch of people you'd struggle to meet.

My comment was aimed at the corner which davidjack/BoltonTim or whatever he was called in between knows as the Green Brigade corner. Y'know, the one who turns its back on Remembrance Day memorials; protests about Poppies etc.

Don't try to tell me there are no IRA sympathies there.

It's fair to say that ALL football clubs have 'unsavoury elements' in their support. Other than one, I remain unaware of any who have any sort of even tenuous connection with bombs going off in Warrington, Manchester or on the M62,

No,Yes and No!However Cliftonville vs Linfield,Yes!

ok, calm down folks we dont want a ban on here for gers / celtic banter...its good fun...

Big WIN for Celtic today

Nah, not sectarian at all. As I said, please confine your bigotry to Ibrox, rather than flaunting it on here.

Funnily enough, I have no time for any religion. Nowt to do with bigotry in my case pal. If you hang around long enough (which I doubt) your apparent limited intellect may allow you to reach that conclusion.

Why do you doubt I'll hang around? Put off by your personal insults? For what it's worth, I'm also an atheist, so perhaps you should keep your presumptions to yourself and stop abusing people who don't share your world view.

:D I'm winning already aren't I?

Don't think you'll hang around because I suspect you and previously departed Bolton Tim are one and the same.

I could be wrong though. It does happen.

He's not Bolton Tim, who for the record was an IRA sympathiser. Although he sounds very much like him at the moment.

Not so.

Here we go again another religions thread. There is no religion on football, it's a game.

Closing this thread off.
