March 22, 201115 yr Any news on who the guests are going to be? Any chance it could be the White Hot trio? My guess is David Lee, Tony Kelly. Permed from one or more of the other white hots.
March 22, 201115 yr My guess is David Lee, Tony Kelly. i don't know how i could turn down the opportunity to see them two
March 22, 201115 yr I can't believe Tony Kelly has only draws the Golden Gamble about 10 times a season, he should do it every week.

March 22, 201115 yr Have heard it's going to be Deano and he's going to talk us through how he managed to miss it, with the use of Andy Gray super slow mo replays, pro zone stats, etc...
March 22, 201115 yr Author Anyone see Andy Walker on Sky Sports News last night? Looked like he'd had far too many chippy dinners IMO!
March 22, 201115 yr Anyone see Andy Walker on Sky Sports News last night? Looked like he'd had far too many chippy dinners IMO! I don't think he's in bad nick for 46 though to be fair. Can't say I fancy him like but skinny blokes just aren't attractive. Edited March 22, 201115 yr by no balls
March 23, 201115 yr Did anyone make it last night? Smiley? Couldn't get down to it myself unfortunately. Did get a call from the club yesterday to arrange the trip to watch a training session which I won at the last BWSA event. Pencilled in for 2nd May so I'll try and get some pictures up here....
March 23, 201115 yr Author Meeting went ok. Bad timing was the reason for no special guests as its International week and most players are either involved or have been given time off. However, in their absence, we had the 2 lads Brian & Lee who are in charge of Prozone & all the statistics for each match. Was a brilliant thing to see and hear about. The level at which we analyse each player, opposition players, opposition set-pieces, etc, etc. And one of the less statistical but still equally important part of their jobs is to produce video pre-match to pump-up the players. They showed us the one they had produced prior to the Birmingham game and it was superb, showing tons of goals, tackles, saves ? fans celebrating.... all to Sweet Child O?Mine and ending with Nat lifting the trophy in 1958....... if that wasn't enough to get them up for the Birmingham game I don't know what was. It turns out we are still one of few teams using such technology. Everton are probably the furthest ahead with 8 employees working on stats, etc. I got the impression we are close 2nd and teams like Fulham are now starting to enhance it. The likes of Utd & Liverpool use similar technology but not the same (or as good). Finally, going back to the penalty vs Villa. Yep, a video and set of stats was presented to Jussi & Adam Bogdan prior to the game. Showing all of Ashley Young's last 8-10 penalties, exactly where he places it, how many have resulted in goals, when he's opted to change from hitting it from the right to the left, etc, etc..... no doubt this resulted in Jussi making the save. We didn't get an example, but the same goes for Kevin Davies with his penalties. He gets the same stats on the opposition keeper with regards to which way they dive, if they go early, if they dive high or low, etc, etc. Amazing!!!!!
March 23, 201115 yr Meeting went ok. Bad timing was the reason for no special guests as its International week and most players are either involved or have been given time off. i thought it was white hot night with three guests?
March 23, 201115 yr i'm sure it was and i wouldn't have minded hearing it however, the organisers either deliberately misled folk or their organisational skills are sadly lacking
March 23, 201115 yr Smiley, as far as I'm aware you are wide of the mark regarding few teams using pro-zone. Most teams have had someone doing it for literally years Sorry
March 23, 201115 yr I think Smiley insinuated that few use the same technology as Pro-Zone although most do use some technology.
March 23, 201115 yr I think Smiley insinuated that few use the same technology as Pro-Zone although most do use some technology. The lads themselves said that we are one of the leading clubs in the use of technology and that although alot of clubs use it they're way behind us...! it isn't just pro zone, it runs alot deeper than that, these lads are employed by the club to analyse every aspect of an opposing team/player, they search the internet and every other media avenue to gain whatever information they can to give us an edge.... it really was fascinating stuff..!
March 24, 201115 yr Author however, the organisers either deliberately misled folk or their organisational skills are sadly lacking I remember in early 90s going to Leyton Orient away. Game was on the official fixture list in June/July. Was in our match prog all season (and theirs too). Was in Match Weekly, Shoot, etc. On the pools coupons, in the Saturday morning papers. Even mentioned on the radio and TV. Yet when I got to the game none of the players turned up. The turnstiles were closed as well. I thought to myself, either the football league & two clubs have deliberately misled us or their organisational skills are sadly lacking. Turns out the game was postponed due to the torrential downpours.
March 24, 201115 yr if you're gonna try to be clever, try harder were these torrential downpours planned months in advance like the international break, y'know its piss poor you and your mates wanna get your act together Edited March 24, 201115 yr by Casino
March 24, 201115 yr Author if you're gonna try to be clever, try harder were these torrential downpours planned months in advance like the international break, y'know its piss poor you and your mates wanna get your act together The fixture was planned well in advance and they knew it was rainy season in the UK. Shoddy. As for the players who let BWSA down ? maybe you should direct your comments to them and their chaperone.
