the whole idea of speed camera's is to increase safety.. There aint much point telling you you were driving unsafe 3 weeks after..

I took the opportunity to take a look at the change in speed limits between St. Peters Way and the M 61 Kearsley Spur this morning. I can confirm there is no sign; National Speed Limit or 70 at the point they meet.

There is in the opposite direction where motorway becomes St Peters and 50 mph.

The motorway starts sign is all that's needed to signify that motorway rules apply from that point onwards, including the speed limit being 70mph it's only when it's not 70 that signs are required.

Oh and the courts can increase your penalty if they think you're taking the piss in your appeal.

The fact is if you hire a hotshot lawyer you almost certain to get away with it. It's a bit like tax, fucked up UK.
