October 3, 201114 yr http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_7220102,00.html While we might not be expected to beat the top teams, we need to compete. It's becoming more difficult but the manner of the defeats haven't been good enough
October 4, 201114 yr It's interesting a lot of us are worried about what OC isn't seeing .......... what do we think he IS seeing ? His arse pipe by the sounds of it. His head is well up there. Its a team game, he needs to get the whole team playing for him, both players and support staff. He's a bit like the tories, he seems to only have a plan A..................
October 4, 201114 yr After reading NRC's article in Sunday's Independent, I was convinced that the players and management (as well as the fans) had looked at the first 7 fixtures and thrown towel in on them.

October 4, 201114 yr Agree, its generally down the flanks where we are particularly bad. Teams really exploiting it now. Surprised its took them so long in all honesty apart from left back, we could fill all the other positions with internationals they aint so bad
October 4, 201114 yr It's interesting a lot of us are worried about what OC isn't seeing .......... what do we think he IS seeing ? The problem is that he is teetotal and so can't see things the right way/our way Red nose would have our lot ship shape Edited October 4, 201114 yr by boltondiver
October 4, 201114 yr The problem is that he is teetotal and so can't see things the right way/our way Red nose would have our lot ship shape I am thinking of Howard Kendall, Brian Clough and that giant bottle of whisky they used to give the manager of the month and you may have a point.
October 4, 201114 yr http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_7220102,00.html WOW, cheers for that Kev, like It's something we haven't known for weeks. Don't talk about it, DO something about it. Ooops, too late shutting that barn door now though
October 5, 201114 yr I am thinking of Howard Kendall, Brian Clough and that giant bottle of whisky they used to give the manager of the month and you may have a point. God, that's got me thinking... Who was the manager who asked for his Bell's Manager of the Month award to be given in 100s of miniature bottles, so he could throw them to the fans? Jim Smith at Newcastle, maybe?
October 5, 201114 yr God, that's got me thinking... Who was the manager who asked for his Bell's Manager of the Month award to be given in 100s of miniature bottles, so he could throw them to the fans? Jim Smith at Newcastle, maybe? If my memory serves it was Gordon Lee and I managed to get one of the minatures and was therefore fan of the month.
October 5, 201114 yr i see he's said in the paper this mornin that it was right for him to be dropped and that his place is no longer gauranteed said he was struggling a bit with his confidence
October 5, 201114 yr If my memory serves it was Gordon Lee and I managed to get one of the minatures and was therefore fan of the month. It was mead not whisky minatures back then I bet.
October 6, 201114 yr I have just found this story: http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/bid-for-gordon-s-bottle.html It was indeed Gordon Lee, and the whisky was 70% alcohol
October 6, 201114 yr All standard whisky is/was 70 proof. 70 proof is actually 40% ABV ie 40% alcohol, not 70.
