Sprained Ankles

Featured Replies

Homer, you are indeed a pussy.

I've broken th'ankle twice and that's not good, 6 weeks in plaster and all that.

But I've had a few bad sprains that have needed x raying, but once you know its's not broke, you start to enjoy the gentle throb emitting from your swollen joint, safe in the knowledge it will be back to normal in a week or so.

Most painful injury I had was a dislocated jaw. Three weeks ago I was fouled playing footy and dislocated my right shoulder. That smarted a touch too.

did you diving head the floor? or when you refer to footy you mean that "american footy" and you didnt have a tin hat on

Broken jaw is my most painful, closely followed by 2 ribs.

A guy slid tackled my legs from underneath me just as another guy shoulder barged me - I ended up doing a flip, landing on my head/shoulder, hearing a crack or a pop (I can't remember exactly) then waking up a minute later with loads of players stood around me. Anyhoo, took off the side of the pitch, popped the shoulder back in and covered it with ice. The worst part about it was we didn't get a penalty and ended up losing the game 1-0 (to a penalty that I gave away) :(

The dislocated jaw was back in the days I used to be a pro wrestling referee. I actually got a bunch of my teeth broken at the same time, one of which couldn't be saved and had to be removed.

Broke 3 ribs in a pub fight in Levenshulme many years ago: smarted a bit!

Also broke my foot playing football in France during the '98 World Cup. Spent 3 weeks hobbling about, at a different game every day getting pissed!

Broke my Fib and Tib playing football, my toes were Almost touching my knee on the same leg. After it being put in plaster and setting bent I had them rebroke, pin and plated with bone graft. 4yrs on the sick, lucky I had great mates :)

I've broken one bone in my almost 50 years, , , a hairline fracture on one knuckle.

Do you remember the punishment for dropping the pack when playing raps? So does my knuckle!
