December 29, 201114 yr Woo, we've moved onto insults now. I take it you've been on the spirits again. Is it that complicated or are you Owen Coyle's fat brother-in-law? There wasn't any left after you'd finished. The other option of course is building our own team rather than plugging holes temporarily. That doesn't necessarily cost ??? but when he hasn't got a fucking clue what his strongest XI is and when players are in and out that much they feel like they are doing the hokey cokey, we can always of course blame the debt. Building our own team with what? He had to sign half a team with ?7M. He's not a magician. He can have credit for taking us down with a load of spineless shithouses who've been embarrassed by the expensively assembled teams of Norwich and Swansea if that makes you feel better? He inherited some of those 'spineless shithouses'... and both Norwich and Swansea spent more than us this summer.
December 29, 201114 yr The Norwich bloke took over a team that had just lost 7-1 to Colchester, I'm guessing he inherited a few wrong 'uns too.

December 30, 201114 yr Full credit for getting players in so they can go back to their own clubs and kick on, which doesn't help us one bit in the long term. Well done owen! Bravo. Fucking genius. If you listen to most on here it was Daniel Sturridge goals that kept us up last season so although Coyle signing him was "short term" it apparently saved us. The coffers are dry, as long as we stay up we are going to be looking at using our 3 available loans to the best we can. For my two penneth I think it will be good for the club, the better we do with Sturridge / Wilshere etc the more attractive the club is for the best young players moving forward on loan and permenant basis.

We averaged fewer points/game with Sturridge than without How the diddles that saved us, I'll never know
December 30, 201114 yr We'll never know what would have happened without Sturridge. I suspect we'd have just survived but you'll never know. There aren't that many players of the calibre of Sturridge and wilshire about. That's the problem, so relying upon that can only be a short-term strategy. We won't be getting any of those players in the championship.
December 30, 201114 yr We averaged fewer points/game with Sturridge than without How the diddles that saved us, I'll never know Do you seriously think we would have done better in the second half of the season without him? I think the fact we gained more points in the first half of the season than we did with DS was more to do with injuries than anything else. You are correct it is a short term strategy but we are in trouble and have been for the last 4/5 seasons. When your in trouble you look for short term fix's. Dont think any Bolton fan would turn down the next Daniel Sturridge with the trouble we are in. I would prefer us to get that Lukaku over Josh McCecheran, think he would score a similar ammount of goals to DS.

December 30, 201114 yr Me? i'm only looking at the facts Only asking for your opinion. If we where offered a similar striker this January on loan (potential but not had chance yet) do you think it would be good for us to take them on loan?

December 30, 201114 yr This thread has got a bit monotonous so I'm of to level my floor. Thanks for screeding.

December 31, 201114 yr Gloria I've never read so much bollocks in all my life. Thanks for leaving. Couldn't agree more! I've read and written some shite in my time but Gloria looks a contender for twoddle scriber of 2011!
