1) That was thirtheen years ago when i was still in my teens, it doesn't take a genious to work out we all hung out with people in our past we wouldn't now.

 

2) If you cant understand that then fuk knows whats going through ya head. Course you can be brave and still be a prick. Being able to stand your ground in a fight doesn't mean your going to have a great personality.

 

3) You are welcome to do so.... I've a massive amount of respect for the people of Wooton Bassett and especially the solidarity they show with the deceased families. You can see it makes a huge differences to such families when they see so much support and makes the whole ordeal a little easier.

First you thought i was a young Che and now you think im a left wing peacenik, make your mind up Bolty pal. Im neither left or right wing, I didnt vote in the last election because the MP scandals thing and economic crisis made me pretty disanfancised with politics. Plus there isn't a party out there I trust. My views on some things are pretty left and right if that helps???

I went to Gaza to help vunrable people who have had their lives destroyed by a militant Islamic government and a selfish Israeli govn. Plus there was some decent countries to travel through on the way and having done little in the past it was a good opportunity.

 

I knew full well you would take issue with what I said and that a few others would, I certainly don't think all our armed forces are pricks but I have met alot in my time.

But I am not sitting behind a keyboard claiming that because I met a couple of prickish accountants once, every accountant is a prick, or that accountancy is a natural home for pricks, or that only pricks choose accountancy. But let me state a fact to you. Irrespective of the military's pricks, within it you will find every conceivable human virtue. Every single one. Everything that makes humanity good and separates us from the other mammalian primates is found on a routine basis within those 100,000 or so people. Charity, bravery, mercy, honour, selflessless, sacrifice, comradeship, humility - shall I go on? I'll leave it to you to explain whether or not you considered this reality before labelling them pricks.

Within the army there will no doubt be some great people. However good human virtues exist in the worst of people (not that im saying many of our servicemen are such.) Thatcher for example in my opinion is a prick but im sure she had some lovely qualities

Just because someone is brave or shows mercy it doesn't mean their good qualities outway the bad.

Ignorance, ethnocentricity, brutality, racism, sexism, homophobia, bullies, hypocrities- shall I go on?
