  • Yes, MT, I follow the Oirish too.   But I'm at Bangor all day tomorrow, then on the lash in Wrexham! But, if I get chance, I'll find some pointers for you and shove them on here on Sunday.   But,

How can an 11/1 shot in a field of that size be 2/1 to be placed?! Now I know how Betfair makes its money!

  • If you took those stats from Mal's piece, that'll be over the last two years, mate.

Shitty weather today, I'll give it a miss. There was one I liked the look of, but at 5/6 Iamout.

I should have been going to Beverley, but I'm staying home.

They reckon it's Good going at beverley (good to firm in places) and they're currently watering the track.

However, there's a 70% chance of rain today, so WTF?

SotD is a weak selection by our own standards too.

And now Redcar, just 60 miles North of Beverley, have already abandoned tomorrow's meeting.

If its any use to you now i live about 6 miles from the course (beverley) and it hasnt rained since very early morning and its blowing a gale.

Cheers, but I've already decided to give it a miss.

Right, gays and gals,

I've just had a call advising me to back Poison D'Or in the 3.30 at Folkestone.

It's currently 7/1, but due to 3 non-runners, it's only a 6-horse race ie E/W only pays out on the 1st 2.

Do what you like with it, but don't shoot the messenger.

I've done 0.25pts win and 0.375pts E/W at 7/1 BOG.

Each way double for me. Swift encounter at 4.10 Bev & Apache rising 3.40 Beverly.

Also had a lucky 15 but already down on two of them. My two yet to run are tax free at 11/2 in 3.10 Beverley & Next Exit at 3.20 at New.

Doubt I'll win however

I've been a long-time fan of Tax Free and it was great to see him win again at York last month.

I just think they might be a bit too quick for the old man today.

Much older that the rest running today, but he's still got it in him.. Time will tell.

We are not responsible for any monies which may have been lost blah blah blah

is the basic jist. Haven't been able to check if the balance is how I left it yet, so fingers and toes crossed...

A quiet morning so far, but I've just taken a small E/W punt on Roxy Flyer in the 3.10 Newmarket.

It probably won't win, but the 25/1 on offer at Sporting Bet is too big to ignore.

This should be a 12/1-ish shot with a chance of a place, so there's some value in it, if nothing else.

Some A/W for tonight:

7.15 Wolverhampton:Grievous Angel (7/2BOG)

8.15 Wolverhampton: Maori Dancer (9/2 BOG)

8.45 Wolverhampton: Inqadh (11/4 BOG)

5.35 Perth: Captain Pierce (6/1 E/W BOG)

6.45 Wolverhampton Gold Rules

I looked at that one myself this morning, but I just felt the fact that he's carrying almost a stone more than his last winning mark allied to the fact that he's never run this far meant that 3/1 or thereabouts didn't represent enough value.

I went for Den Maschine in the end : the 5/1 at Hills this morning seemed long.

I didn't post it up, becasue it's not a strong selection IMO.
