October 23, 201213 yr Author Yarmouth 3.20 Clumber Place That was my SotD pick last Tuesday, before Newcastle got abandoned, I was just waiting for her reappearance. Loves heavy ground, loves the 7f trip, but Freddie Tylicki has a great record at Yarmouth and Caramelita might also go well at a decent price.. Edited October 23, 201213 yr by Traf
October 23, 201213 yr Author Well, I eventually went with Clumber Place for SotD, but since then an acquaintance of mine has suggested that Tahlia Ree may be a good E/W shout at 16/1 in that same 3.20 Yarmouth race. I also like these today: 2.40 Exter: Mister Hendre (50/1 E/W BOG) 3.10 Exeter: Pantxoa (14/1 E/W BOG) 4.30 Lingfield: Dorothy's Dancing (6/1 BOG) (possible E/W) 4.40 Exeter: Harry Topper (4/1 BOG) 5.30 Lingfield: Officer in Command (4/1 BOG) And I might even find some more later! It's actually pretty decent racing for a Tuesday.
October 23, 201213 yr I had eleven horses on my shortlist early this morn and I crossed out eight of them, leaving your SOTD and two near even money. I also have Horseracebase tell me when Emma Lavelle's horses are running as they are red hot till they fall to shit early Dec, plus when Geegeez's five NH to follow run in handicaps, so I'm usually happy to back those blindly unless there are obvious reasons not to. However, The Regal One won at 6/1 yesterday in a non-handicap so I missed out!
October 23, 201213 yr I've had a lucky 15. Bold prediction 1.50 at Yarmouth, 4/1 Layline 3.50 at Yarmouth, 15/2 Dom Lukka 2.40 Exeter, 13/2 dragons den 3.40 Exeter 10/1 Edited October 23, 201213 yr by Mr kempo

I also like these today: 2.40 Exter: Mister Hendre (50/1 E/W BOG)unplaced as expected, but from a decent yard 3.10 Exeter: Pantxoa (14/1 E/W BOG) annoyingly 4th, lost all momemtum when hampered 3 out 4.30 Lingfield: Dorothy's Dancing (6/1 BOG) (possible E/W) 6th 4.40 Exeter: Harry Topper (4/1 BOG) won 5.30 Lingfield: Officer in Command (4/1 BOG) And I might even find some more later! It's actually pretty decent racing for a Tuesday. And I've backed these: 2.30 Lingfield: The Black Jacobin (7/2 BOG) 3rd at 8/1: took E/W when price drifted! 3.30 Lingfield: Ormindo (5/2 BOG) a poor 7th 3.40 Exeter: Regal Flow (9/1 E/W BOG) 9th 4.00 Lingfield: Auntie Mabel (7/2 BOG) another poor 7th 4.10 Exeter: Roll The Dice (9/2 BOG) 2nd at 9/2 to a 25/1 donkey! 5.20 Yarmouth: Dream Walker (5/1 BOG) & Lordship (7/2 BOG) I've gone a bit giddy, I think. Carameilta won at 17/2, Clumber Place was 2nd The forecast was 40/1. The other horse I backed in the race Tahlia Ree was 3rd at 12/1: I'd taken 16's The tricast paid 435/1.

October 23, 201213 yr Author ...and 4th was one of the ones I crossed out! Between us we could've won millions... Yet, in all fairness, I couldn't pick my own nose at present. I can't believe how many near misses I've had on SotD this month alone. I'm still 0.53pts up (+2.4%), but I've only picked 2 winners from 22 at 7/2 and 6/1. From the other 20: 6 finished 2nd (including today's), 5 finished 3rd and there was a 4th. Only 8 unplaced horses from 22, but the winners are eluding me. I go away on Thursday and I'm hoping the 2 weeks off will lead to a change in fortune.
