August 1, 201214 yr Author It has just finished! All joking apart, I got 25/1 E/W early doors with Paddy Power and paying 5 places: the fucker came 6th. C'est la vie.
September 3, 201213 yr Author Forgot about this thread! Had an indifferent August, if I'm honest. My "system bets" lost quite heavily, but I managed to turn a small profit overall, thanks to my other punts. I like the look of Star Links in the 3.30 Wolverhampton. I took 4/1 this morning, which seemed too big: 7/2 is still widely available.

September 3, 201213 yr Author Nae bother. It's nice to share. And as a bit of a Brucie bonus, I've just checked my Paddy Power account and it would appear I took 9/2, not 4/1!
September 5, 201213 yr Author I know Widnes has given us Hoarding in the 2.00 Lingfield, but I like the look of Labienus in that race. He won comfortably over the same distance on the Lingfield all-weather last time out, beating Mark Johnston's grey Blue who then went on to win easily at Beverley next time out. I took 11/4 with Paddy Power earlier this morning and I might just do a cheeky reverse forecast. Edited September 5, 201213 yr by Traf
September 5, 201213 yr Author Hmmm, strange one that. He hasn't really progressed as expected, but connections still have fairly high hopes as he holds some entries for much better races than this.
September 5, 201213 yr Author I've just had a text saying to get on Urban Daydream at 12/1 E/W in the 2.20 at Bath. This guy knows, but don't shoot the messenger if it's shite.

Ran a decent enough race, but finished just out of the frame in 4th. A good enough run for a 12/1 shot IMO. Anyway, we're on Navajo Charm in the 6.00 Kempton (4.3 on betfair)
September 5, 201213 yr Author And that fucker came 2nd. I've had better days, but i've also had worse.
September 5, 201213 yr Author I've also taken 5/1 on Pravda Street in the 7.00 Kempton. We'll have some of that though.
September 7, 201213 yr Author Anyway, let's try: Queen Grace (3/1 BOG) in the 2.00 at Haydock & Hi Life Dancer (7/2 BOG) in the 2.40 Brighton, shall we?
September 7, 201213 yr Anyway, let's try: Queen Grace (3/1 BOG) in the 2.00 at Haydock & Hi Life Dancer (7/2 BOG) in the 2.40 Brighton, shall we? go on then, let's have a couple of singles and a cheeky double for interest
September 7, 201213 yr I also liked Queen Grace. Bah. Also like Sunraider for a place in the 4.10 at Haydock and first time cheek-pieces might help Dotty Daroch 5.35 Chepstow, but the current 5/1 is beginning to look a bit short.
September 7, 201213 yr I also liked Queen Grace. Bah. It was a shit race for that horse, it was left behind in the stalls, so was 4 or 5 lengths adrift from the off, and then when nearing the line, it just kept pulling right all the time for some reason. Anyway, I'm hoping Hi Life Dancer will give me a better run for my money
September 7, 201213 yr Seeing as they don't generally pay out for 10th and 12th place finishes I haven't had one of my better days! Anyway, a horse called Fashionable Gal runs in the strong-looking 3.50 at Stratford and at 18/1 or thereabouts, form figures of 03-2132 - including a course and distance win - deserve some scrutiny. My deduction is that this horse passes muster for an each way wager at that price or one comparable. This is a rise in class but she is nearly two stone better off than some of those amongst the market leaders and a stone better off than the horse she was runner up to last time out over this C & D (He's Our Lad). I'm always looking for reasons to oppose horses which catch my untrained eye, but I'm happy with this one. Feel free to copy and paste this to save you a minute or two for SOTD Traf!
