Fellow Golfists

Does any one know of decent golf courses within 30 miles of Bolton.

Me and my mates are trying to play as many courses as possible this summer rather than tramming round the same one.

Those with buggies for rent are preffered as one of my mates has a dodgy knee.

  • Thats a cracking knock. I played superb front 9 this morning just 3 over at the turn. My swing then decided to fuck off to the clubhouse while i stayed out there to chop my way to an 86

How about Stand golf club? Used to be a member there. Always in good nick as its on sandy soil so drains really quickly. Not sure how the course is after that water pipe was laid across some of the holes though. May take a few years to recover from that.

There's a cracking course near Huddersfield that I've played a few times, got buggies too. Another muni but a nice course but can't for the life of me remember it's name.

Willow Valley?

Bradley Park (Huddersfield) is one of the best municiples or try Fixby Hall

That's the one. Some cracking holes on there and a driving range too.

i thought longsight had shut and yet the fairways/greens are still being cut

whats the score?

I went to Hawkstone park in Shrewsbury.

Beautiful scenery and a good test of your golfing skills.

Played the Hawkstone course on Sunday and the Championship course on the Monday.
