4th August - they're looking likely to cease on the 10th august ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18977953 ), and looking at their pre season fixtures, it'll be their last ever home game against us

 

Who fancies it? From one side of the coin, you'll have the pessimists saying its a friendly, long way to drive for a friendly etc etc, but then again, its the last ever home game for a club who a lot of lads on here will have took a hiding off, been there during our dark days, good memories of the little back streets, or been watching us there when we got the draw to qualify for Europe

 

And if worst comes to the worst and the match doesnt go ahead, its a good day/night out on the piss

remember walking in that pub and thinking jesus weve picked the worng pub ere...but it was handshakes all round with westy and co and spit on you song being sang non stop....superb weekend

 

like i say ashey,would be cracker,and i was going to make summet up like im working or away...but in truth with burnley away the week after,the chances of gettting a stop over in portsmouth for a friendly past the wife are pretty much nill!

I would have loved to of gone given the chance, i always look out for Pompeys results, i do hope for the fans sake that they get themselves sorted

after listening to a special show about the whole affair on talksport on monday night,i seriously cant see this happening....

 

all them fellas we met down there that day and watching england etc are just the same as us,lads that go home and away and love it...

 

all them years and memories down the swannie,all that loyalty and support...for what?...for the club to go bump,and thats it.all very sad....

They will soon be back after starting in some dr martens third division as AFC Pompey.

 

Some cracking away trips in that non league.

 

They should have done it 2 years ago, they would be in the conference south by now.
