Grease Stains?

Are they multiplyin'?

Are you losing control?

Soak in cold, salty water for a good few hours before washing too

Seriously, Gonzo, if you haven't got a Stain Devil to hand or can't be arsed getting one, rub some undiluted washing up liquid onto the stain. Any colour will do, but make sure it's a decent brand, not your typical Blackpool Happy Shopper shite.

Leave for 10 mins or so and then wash as normal.

Robert will then be your mother's brother.

Stain Devils - they used to do exactly what they said on the tin, stain your f*cking clothes. Unless they've improved the formula, they get rid of the stain alright, but leave a faded mark. An imperceptible to some mark, but unacceptable to others.

Get some cheap, crap, supermarket own basics brand (Sainsburys works) Biological powder*, mix a few cupfuls of this with warm water (warm enough to put your hand under - not too hot) to the consistency of polyfilla and spread onto the stains. Leave for about 24 hours then wash as normal. If the enzymes don't 'eat' the grease in this time the shirts are probably knackered.

I've been doing my own laundry since I was 13, and staining with bacon butties made by myself too, domesticity is usually the last thing I look for in a girl :(

* Got to be biological. No airy fairy shite.

Cover the full t shirt in a big grease stain. Hey presto.

Serious answer here:

If, after everything else has failed, and after washing and stuff the stain remains, put talc on the stain, cover with a dry hanky and iron with as hot an iron as the material will allow.

This should melt the grease and the talc draws it out of the weave.

Do this a couple of times.

Re-wash. Hey Presto!
