October 3, 201213 yr I used to work for Mecca Leisure in the late 80's and had a spell at a night club in Dunstable in 1989. Even I was shocked at the £1 for half lager and the club didn't sell pints.

October 3, 201213 yr Was anyone in that pub halfway to the ground at Macclesfield that had 1/2 pints of real ale on a blackboard for £4.50, that was a 'howwww muuuuch' moment!
October 3, 201213 yr When people comment on the 'horrible' atmosphere in Scotts..... Are you expecting it to be like the Rock pub on the film I.D? Or would you settle for a happy duck-esque renditon of ten german bombers with folk stood on the bar top? Its a fucking boozer 2 minutes walk from the ground, you can park for a fiver, get served with ease, theres tellys everywhere, and even the odd bit of clunge kicking about. Pints £3.15? too dear yes,but its only 55p dearer than my local... Jesus, that £1.65 on top of my matchday expense every week might just swing it for me,im gonna get 24 cans for a tenner and sit in the bus shelter next week. Why would I expect it to be like a pub on I.D? I'd like to be able to have a bit of choice as we did pre Reebok....granted that wasn't always brilliant but you could pick your pubs.....and not get told off by a bouncer for a bit of singing. Er yeah its near the ground...and until the last few games you couldn't get a drink in there before the match....and I've been going in (after the game) since it opened. Why?Handy for the train and convenient for those being picked up.....but don't tell me that's a good pub. hotel bar - used to go in but not a pub is it Barnstormers - too busy Went in Fanszone before Palace and they were ripping off kids for entertainment that was free last year. Is it even open after the game? And do they sell anything other than the piss they sell in the ground? Pleased that you are paying a fiver to park a car?! Dear me

October 3, 201213 yr Tell me you're taking the piss. Aside from the fact that I could not drink that shit, where the fuck are you drinking? Theres very few places I can get wankered for £20 nowadays but £2.50 for Kronenburg int Saddle has a fucking good go at it. Have you stumbled across sams bar yet? Your £20 will go a long, long way in there
