Granted not as big a contract but that far apart from Nicky Hunt, he clearly thought he had made his money from the game and stopped trying. I mean he was once a decent rightback.

 

Maybe they should could look at introducing something where a trustfund is set up for players where they cant touch these silly amounts of money until they hit a particular age to stop this kind of thing happening. I did have his injuries but that and the money he earned clearly made him go off the rails.

My mates lad played football with him for about 5 years they went with him and his dad to Ajax and a couple of other clubs in Europe in the close season, his dad was ultra strict and obsessed about him becoming a pro not sure he had a proper childhood and that's most likely the problem now, think he was at Everton as a kid but I hear his dad then moved him for the money think they paid his mortgage off or something like that.
