Bwfc To Be Sold ?

Heard rumblings at the weekend off a former player, still connected at the Reebok though, that we are being deliberately run down in an effort to make ourselves more attractive for a buyer.

The reasoning behind this could be explained by our reluctance to invest in the transfer window which according to the exhausted ruler could land us in trouble with the Financial Fair Play nonsense.  No investment, means no hassle/penalties etc so less of a risk for a new investor.

Taking over the hotel is another reason, making us look more attractive with assets etc.

Eagles and Ngog were apparently left out of the team deliberately and for an extended period in the hope of not picking up injuries, with the intention of being sold. Any illness/injury to either player was pure fabrication (after a while)

Eddie Davies is ready to go,he knows he cannot take us any further. Phil Gartside will go once a new buyer is found.  Mr Davies knows we are going to struggle massively next season when the relegated premier league clubs have their huge parachute payments to play with and we don't have a pot to piss in,no doubt using the fair play twaddle again

I challenge Mr Gartside to deny these rumours which he obviously will but lets see what happens within the next 12 months before judgement is passed on this.

Players talk and pass on info to former players etc.

There is major unrest and discontent at The Reebok, seriuos decline is just around the corner, fresh investment appears to be our only salvation.

These are not my words, but from a former player,so please don't shoot the messenger

Utter Bollocks. And St Pauli are scum as well

Spent a lot of time up there don't think I met one United fan. Few Burnley, few Bolton, rest Blackburn.

Maybe I just got lucky!

Also found that a lot of people who weren't really arsed about football, would describe themselves as Rovers fans and at least have a small interest in how the team was doing.

You must have. Just as many 'glory fans' in Blackburn/Darwen as in Bolton.

And a lot of people in Bolton feel exactly the same about the Wanderers.

Maybe I don't associate with weak minded people B)

Yeah that second point is true, there are plenty, but it's quite noticeable up there I think.

Maybe :D

If I was looking at investing money in a club there are a lot more attractive options than us

Chuffers and Taskers to name but two...

I heard that we had a buyer lined up if we went up lastseason

It depends how you look at it now if Eddie wiped the debt and with the infrastructure we have in place it becomes more saleable however the cost of players salaries and the egos of players would make me think twice of getting involved with any football club as its a sure fire way to burn money.

Apparently we had one from the far east lined up had we stayed up

If we build it they will come...

Didn't we have about 19k on for Marseille in, potentially, the last game we'd ever see competitive European football at The Reebok?

We're lucky to have a local 'lad' backing us...I suspect the only other investor we'd attract would suck us dry then toss us to one side - which sounds quite good, but only transposed to another situation.

Let's run down the bloated contracts of this toxic group of big-time attitude/small-time level of commitment players and get some more new blood onboard, players with something to prove, 'hungry' if you like? ;)

We had 4 of them on the bench yesterday
