All I can see is that some fans realise we have some work to do to stay up, which is true.

Others are confident we will stay up, as I believe.

Don't see panic.

Think it might be s good idea to turn off the radio and TV and move on to Saturdays game.

  • Is Dan pissed yet?

Agreed, have said this for a while, it's up and down and extremes for many on here.   I sometimes think some would rather be in a relegation than just mid table.

hes a fan, that's what fans do, get upset when we lose/concede, you must have known what he meant, in that we still have some work to do to beat the drop.

Maybe so but when it gets to a point where people are panicking every time we lose a game, every time the manager is linked with another job (usually by them), or every time someone gets injured, you have to wonder whether they're really cut out to be a football supporter at all.

who's panicking?

Everyone will be panicking if we lose on saturday ????

I won't.

I'd say that's what marks  'em a fan to be honest.

Incidentally, for those moaning about the size of our crowds, there were 16,569 at Boro tonight and they're currently in one of the automatic promotion places.

Five minutes ago you were telling us that no one was panicking.

Fans react instantly by their very nature, that's all I'm saying.

That's suprising, looks like the Barca game got a good number staying at home.

10,000 crowd at Wigan.

I didn't bother listening to our game tonight, due to watching City/Barca... just kept popping on here for updates. Shit fan

Think Boro have always had comparable attendances to us, very up and down.

I don't think just over 16000 home fans for a midweek game in Feb is bad at all. If we were challenging I'd expect us to be getting similar with some higher at weekends towards end of season.

Always think boro's crowds are very comparable to us, particularly home gates, they tend to pull out bigger away followings I think.

Result respectable performance reasonable I'd take that ahead of saturday and wigan lost again piss funny

I don't think we will go down. However unless our form improves we will. I don't think saying we need to get some results to stay up is panicking.

If we lose on Saturday then I suspect there will be more panic and even the calmest might get jittery.

On a happier note - how shit are Wigan?

depends how you define form

recent form against some of the top 6?

form against the shite?

There you go again. 'If we lose on Saturday'. Fuck me, is your glass ever half full?

By throwing in the towel the minute the opposition score?

The next three home games v Brighton, Reading & Milwall should give us the chance to put some daylight between us and the bottom three.

I know we lost, but tonight's improved performance may have been enough to stop the rot and renew some confidence.

Yours in hope!

By throwing in the towel the minute the opposition score?

If you think someone has thrown in the towel after an outburst on the internet or at the match, so be it.

Think you're taking this forum a bit too seriously

I don't take your definition of a 'fan' seriously.

I don't take your definition of a 'fan' seriously.

I didn't give a definition of a fan, just a description of some.

No panic.

A month ago, I said i wasn't expecting the team to gel until March, when we'd start to pick up enough points to be mid-table.

Problem is we don't look like gelling any time soon, the injuries continue to mount up, the defence has gone awol until tonight.

So I'm more concerned than I was.

We've a top manager in NL there is not a chance in hell we will go down this season with him charge.
