frank_spencer Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Lonners has apparently been given the word he's going and has already cleared out his locker from the training ground.. According to some fella who we spoke to at wiggin who said he worked with lonnergans dad. So probably utter bollocks. Quote

I'm not too bothered if both Bogdan and Lonners left, Amos is pretty much nailed on to sign in the summer and will be on similar wages to Lonergan. Plus the fact that he's better. Get in an experienced backup if need be for peanuts and that's goalkeeper sorted for next year at about a 3rd of the wages we're shelling out now. Quote
Sweep Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Amos is pretty much nailed on to sign in the summer will be on similar wages to Lonergan. is he? is he? Now I don't know, and you may do.......but I would be surprised if Lonergan is on even half the wages that Amos is currently on at Man Utd Quote

But then again Amos won't be signing for anything close to what he's currently on Quote
Piemon Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Not currently. But then again Amos won't be signing for anything close to what he's currently on Then he wont be signing then. He's on 10k a week. why would he sign for anybody for less than that? Quote
Sweep Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 He's on 10k a week. why would he sign for anybody for less than that? Because we'll make him sign a contract with a lower wage Quote
Piemon Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Because we'll make him sign a contract with a lower wage Of course, silly me Quote
Anderson Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Because he seems to want to be here and I can't see anyone at this level offering anything close to 10k. A Prem club might to have him as backup but he's said himself he wants to play regular football. Quote

If i was making the decisions id be signing him or offering him the deal hes currently on at Manure and making him Captain next term. Nice to see a goalie who talks to his defenders and tries to marshall them. Always last on the field at the end with Ream acknowledging the fans who turn out to watch him play. You dont stay at Manure all these years if youve nowt about you. A class act imo Quote

tomski Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I think amos can and probably do better than us. Lets see. When asked he seemed very non committal about us while openly admitting to leaving the dmbs. I don't blame him either. Quote
HR Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Players will want to firstly join a team that is challenging for promotion next season. We will be a difficult sell for Lennon over summer with finances possibly further restricted and the volume of change he wants. He has seen some of our players shown up by the attitude of a 37 yr old striker and his annoyance that some players are on much higher contracts than those he had at Celtic just going through the motions. A win against Blackpool will allow him to dedicate more of his time planning for next season as he thinks we will be safe at that point. Quote
MickyD Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 my top earners would be a striker and a goalkeeper. makes and saves you most points In both cases those two positions are heavily reliant on the rest of the team in order to look as though they're earning their wages. Great keeper behind shit defence won't look too great. Great striker in front of shit midfield will look fairly poor too. Quote
