Keep Bairstow as WK

Duckett? Lived up to his name

Butler? Nothing to lose

Batting order?

Might as well try Ali at 4; been everywhere else

Stokes 5

Buttler 6

Bairstow unchanged

my thinking is that bairstow is definitely in our top 4 batsmen

hes a right hander

he cant really keep for 2 days and then be ready to bat

i hold out no great hopes buttler will score many, to be fair

Agree that Buttler may not come off- he's not played for a while either.

Ali further up and ask him to play steadliy. He's capable against spin.

Hameed faced as many balls as No's 4 to 10 inclusive.

And Jimmy got a golden pair.

Do they clang when he runs?

25/1 for us to win series from here.

Don't expect us too but i think 25/1 is a bit insulting.

Worth a tenner of my money.

We've been the better side in both games for me. Day 1 they got a massive headstart on the only day the pitch played true, then from day 2-5 we consistently got more runs per wicket than they managed once the pitch broke up, despite having the worse of the conditions.

Boycott is right on this one, India are nowhere near as good as they think they are.

Trouble is we do seem to collapse a bit easily. Need to show bit more resilience.

Aye, we're a decent side winning the toss and batting first. We're pretty poor batting second with scoreboard pressure. India will win the series by two tests for me

If you're having that then 2-1 is at 33/1

Can't see us winning 3 on rip

2 stinkers and a run out in Hameed's first 5 innings. Everyone can see he's a better player than any other opener we've tried, but would be nice for the stats to show it too.

Crap start all round here.

Very poor start. Waste of winning the toss, disappointing

Only mercy being because we won the toss we can have a crap start and all it does is level up the game. Not a minefield and we should have made much better use, but if we can eak it out to even 300, we're in an OK position with them going last - there's enough there that we shouldn't give away a big first innings lead unless we bowl poorly as well.

Wouldn't be surprised to see us well over 100 in deficit after the first innings. Fast scoring outfield and only about two balls turned so far

Kohli really is a fucking great player.

Never looks like getting out

execept when he does!

When was the last time 3 Lancs players played in the same England side before this one ?

Thinking it may be the Atherton era but not 100% sure

Hmm

Thinking early 1970s

Lever, Shuttleworh, Barry Wood, David Lloyd, Frank Hayes

Possibly

De Freitas, Fairbrother and Atherton

Fifth test in the Ashes 2007 according to Lancs facebook.

Flintoff, Anderson and Mahmood.

When was the last time all three were home grown?

I'd say 2007?

Flintoff, Anderson and our Saj?

I'd say 2007?

Indeed- wasn't thinking straight. Forgetting Mahmoud was a local.
