Yes, this may be the very essence of a faith, but, as you say, nowadays it falls down. And anyone making judgements of others on the back of their faith just illustrates the potential danger within them. Now then, spirituality is a different matter.

Agree with the judgement , no disagreement there but all you have for both is written history from word of mouth. you ( we) don’t know that Julius Ceasar existed, we believe it because of what is told in texts and written history people who believe in God believe because of what’s written in texts from word of mouth . We believe Julius built Roman coliseums because they are there and we are told he did people who believe in god believe He created all creatures because they’re there and they are told he did the belief principle is the same
