Just saved me starting a fresh thread. They were THE WORST TEAM I have ever seen in the Premiership at the Reebok. When Kevin Davies dropped his shoulder and went past their full back to cross for our 2nd goal, I sat back open jawed. How poor was that defending? They couldn't pass, control, tackle, head.... I cannot remember seeing a worse Prem striker than Kevin Kyle. Good riddance from the top flight. Utter shite. Dragged us down today. i thought he showed great wing play combining beautiful techical control and blistering pace...

Personally I think Davies chronic lack of pace means he can't play wide. He's the target man or nothing for me I agree that Davies aint a wide man and is much less effective if he's stuck out there for long periods. However, Diouf is also deceptively slow and Stelios aint Linford Christie. Pace is great and the one thing I believe we lack throughout the team (Gardner excepted) but it doesn't mean everything. totally agree with that, commentators always say 'dioufs pace'... he has no pace what so ever. the only seriously pacey player we have gardner... and possibly vaz if he stayed on his feet long enough...

like already said, i do not see how a 20 goal a season man fits into our system. i just cant see davies begin dropped, as far as im concerned hes the man to lead our attack for next 3 or 4 years, even if he does only average 5 goals a season... as long as the wider men are gettin 10 each i dont see the need for a 20 goal man...
