  1. Another day, another few inches closer to No Deal. The NI proposal is weaker than pint of Iranian lager. But the sTories know that better than anyone. Closed another Irish account today. It’s. All. Going. Really. Well. And. Is. Fantastically. Organised.

Just a minute ”Access to people from WWays”???? So 20 of us are all stood in a corner of the room taking filthy drugs and bickering about Brexit, whilst normal people come and ask us questions? LOVE it.
  3. To be honest, half of them have already gone back because they’re so uncertain. We’re paying a fortune to train half arsed locals who want way more money and less hours. The Poles graft harder.
  4. Does that mean I lose all my Polish welders as well?? fucking hell fire
  5. I don’t believe a single fucking word politicians of any persuasion say. I am calling all this directly from actual events that are happening beyond the “experts” and various other cunts who are bellowing through my black mirror every night. I am telling you what is occurring right now, and can be ascribed to Brexit. As yet, it’s all been negative. Job losses, aggro, revenues slashed, orders placed elsewhere, our great British manufacturing industry teetering in a terrifying limbo, being praised and hailed by the very people who threaten to destroy it, whilst they pissarse around. We were told it would be easy. Its the exact opposite and there are NO positives so far.
  6. Insofar as I respect the outcome of the vote, yes. unfortunately, so much shit has emerged after the referendum - especially concerning ireland - that I think it’s become impossible to deliver in its current form. Simply “just doing it” has consequences that are so far reaching that it has changed beyond recognition from 2016.
  7. I voted leave you daft shite. Lets hope your job is safe though eh?
  8. So no real ideas then. your words will be a real comfort to the guys I know who’ve already lost their jobs
  9. There are simply no indications from the ground that he has any reason for optimism. If it was so simple it would have been solved 2/3 years ago. To give some perspective - imagine if the border was between Manchester and Bolton. It's really not very different
  10. Mounts is telling us it will be ok. I'm simply asking how he knows that.
  11. And here, finally, is the actual heart of the matter. The result of the referendum is not in dispute, nor should it be. But - and it's a fucking gargantuan but with bells as big as planets on - but, should we push on with a Brexit that will cause part of the UK and our only geographical EU neighbour to descend into utter chaos? Solving 1 "problem" only to create an even bigger one? Makes no sense to me. Is it actually worth it? Personally, I don't think so anymore. If it weren't for the Irish problem I think Brexit would just about be ok. The Irish problem makes Brexit impossible for me.
  12. Tell me about the solutions for the Irish border I'm 100% behind the resultof the vote. We're beyond that now - how do we solve Ireland. And it has to be very specific details. None of this politician bullshit about "solutions being ready" and "all sides are working towards blah rhubard wiffle cockshit"
  13. Nonsense. we won the war. The only thing required is British Can Do attitude and a willingness to compromise on both sides. Don't be such a snowflake.
  14. Why don't all the "Rangers" types in NI swap places with all the "Celtic" types in Glasgow? That way, the Celtic lot can wave their Ireland flags in Ireland, the Rangers lot can wave their union flags in the union, and everyone's happy? Spider for PM!!
  15. Might be an idea to let the few thousand tradesmen who are shitting themselves know what it is fairly soon. Very little unites the catholics and protestants in that neck of the woods, but they are absolutely as one when it comes to feeling like they're being treated like shit.
  16. What's the solution? We are 29 days away and STILL no-one will say. You keep repeating the words but there are no actions. I'll ask again - What Is The Solution?
  17. Just to give a number There are 329 major & minor border crossings. 329 places where a vehicle can currently pass unchecked. That doesn't include a fair number of single track roads and farmland, obvs. Bloke I know crosses the border several times a day as part of his job in the heating industry. He is very keen to hear from the UK govt. if they will make him stop and show his passport 30+ times every single week, and have his van checked. Bear in mind, after Brexit, he could be buying cheap gear in Sterling from the north, and effectively smuggling it into the EU and not paying all his duties on the goods, thereby gaining an advantage over his EU counterparts. Bernier won't like that. He is one of thousands and thousands of examples of what awaits. Anyone who thinks there's a quick and easy fix to this wants putting in a cage.
  18. There isn't, nor is there a solution everyone would agree to anyway. It's worth remembering that this particular part of the world took over 30 years to agree to the current state of affairs, and that's fragile at best. It's a fucking tinderbox and Brexit could easily re-ignite it.
  19. For what it’s worth, Brexit without the NI situation would probably have been done and dusted 2 years ago, and no quibbles from me. However, it’s a reality we cannot escape. Unless we hand NI back to the Irish of course. 💣
  20. Pissing down most of the day. Can’t see it going ahead.
  21. Morning Paul am I on ignore mate? just interested in your opinion on my recent posts. If you are unable to respond because facts like this don’t suit your argument, we’ll all completely understand. It’s difficult for you sometimes.
  22. Can they not send me a voucher booklet like in the 90’s? cunts
  23. The emirates lounge at Dubai is superb the one st Manchester is like a labour club
  24. Nope At the risk of repeating myself, I deal (dealt) with customers in north and Southern Ireland. There is nothing, fuck all, zero, zilch, nada, nowt, absolutely fucking nothing at all in place for Brexit at the border. remember, the A1 crosses north/south at 17 points in a 4 mile stretch. The notion of a hard border is just not workable in reality. (Reality is the bit most folk outside of ireland don’t get) no deal would create a situation that is beyond carnage. not project fear. Actual reality.
