  1. When they are playing shit or great, poor or excellent, indifferent or sublime the only class thing to do is get behind them and support. In fact if they are playing shit, support more.
  2. I am a realist so understand that this is modern football and we have to reluctantly 'accept' it. But I am shocked that anyone says that they don't care about the name of the ground? Seriously? I am gutted that our 'home' has to be cheapened and devalued in this way. To me, it's sacred.
  3. This comment from Dougie in February (Bolton News) sums it up: "This is my apprenticeship as a manager" And don't we know it.
  4. To all 2300 plus fans that went to this, that was amazing support. Proud. Just one request though please....could you all get a season ticket in the North Lower next season? Imagine having that kind of atmosphere at home as well as away!?
  5. Good post....Palace were suffering from a poor atmosphere at Selhurst & their fans decided to have a go and try and make a difference. They have done well. In my opinion, a decent atmosphere definitely makes the day miles better for everyone and its obvious that players can respond. To me it would be fucking amazing to develop a reputation for getting behind the lads no matter what. We can't change the manager, the team or the tactics so why not do the one thing we can do and get behind 'em. I wish you well if you do decide to have a go at creating something positive for the club.
  6. Great collection, top find. What's the Super John McGinlay vid 3 in from top right? Don't think I've seen that before?
  7. Great post bowtun baked. Couldn't agree more re: knight and booers. Our job is supporting. The clue is in the name.
  8. It appears that 4 people have voted for Steve Kean. Absolutely amazing.
  9. It wasn't such a bad performance against a team worth about 20 times as much as ours, Premier League Champions and away from home. The problem is we now have that horrendous run of games again so the recent confidence boost of a couple of wins may disappear so the support given can make a big difference I reckon. I was very proud of our fans on Saturday, yes it wasn't a massive following (but at ?43 it's understandable) but they backed the team throughout and never once turned on them. They also got behind Owen Coyle again which must have been great for him to hear that he is still being backed. Contrast that to Blackburn and our support of our manager through these tough times is something to be very proud of when the easiest thing in the world would be to start the Coyle Out nonsense. ICWT
  10. This really is great news. Well done to all for getting this going. For all of us to have a chance to contribute is also a great touch. I will be proud and humbled to know that I (along with many fellow Boltonians and Wanderers fans) have contributed to the long lasting memory of Bolton's greatest son. Looking forward to the community getting together to get behind this wonderful project.
  11. Top post Blixa. Glad to see this kind of opinion still exists out there.
  12. Coyle has all of the attributes needed to be a top BWFC manager. He needs more time to get through the current difficulties. The guy loves BWFC and we need to support him through thick and thin. Let's not give up on him now, it won't help. In my opinion, it shouldn't even be a question until the end of the season. In Coyle we Trust. (Well I do anyway). COYWM.
  13. In my opinion Owen Coyle is definitely still the right man. We are going through a change of styles, loss of key players to injury, no funds to replace and a terrible start to the season in terms of fixtures which knocked confidence. The guy loves BWFC, was a popular ex-player, has done well elsewhere, treats the fans with nothing but respect, comes across well and has bags of potential. His football philosophy is also to play football on the ground which eventually he will be able to deliver in time. If we back him through this difficult spell now, I am sure it will pay off in the long term. What he needs from the fans is support, big time. In the face of the adversity, it is much better if we get behind him. COYWM.
  14. I grimace reading garbage like this. Other fans from other clubs see this make judgements about our club based on absolute dogsh!t like this. I really get the impression that he must crave defeats and heavy losses so he can have a good old fight with his keyboard again. Embarrassing.
  15. A superb season. Top 10 finish and an FA Cup Semi Final. Absolutely magnificent achievement with a lack of resources and one of the lowest supported teams in the league. Well done OC, hope you are here for the long term to build on this.
