They’re not the same side we played in last year’s playoffs, never felt we were going to beat them last year. Second leg at home could be the difference.
Couple of weeks on the training ground( this and next) will hopefully get us in the right frame of mind. Absolutely nothing to fear if we play our game, stay focused and embrace it.
If we did get there and it was Blackpool and we did win, on a personal level my thoughts would be with my dad who was at the 53 final but is no longer with us. Sure there would be a bit of dust flying around Wembley. A lot of football to be played before that would happen and I’d rather we avoided them altogether.
It’s a pity Dion didn’t stick away one of his chances yesterday, sure it will help is recovery mentally as well as physically by finding the back of the net
Was late getting there yesterday, it was 1450 when I walked up the steps into seats. The noise when I entered the stadium was electric it just hit you. Was helped by the away fans . If we do go up and get 20k plus crowds with the bigger away followings that can only help our performances even more .
They don’t seem a happy camp, form has plummeted, fans getting on the managers back. Different to last year when they were the form team and unlucky against Wednesday in the final
No guarantees in the playoffs if that’s where end up, but with the spine of the team pretty much back in place and the way we are playing I’d be confident of getting the job done.
So many bodies in there , he has a split second to react and we’ve seen our forwards miss chances like that so just unlucky really. Looked like he had a point to prove maybe with what happened at fratton park. He was a warrior yesterday though.
