  1. Agree with you Frank, but why no mention of Elmander? He was utter shite as well.
  2. I don't think McCann was our worst player last week, far from it. Muamba could be a good player if our manager used him correctly but he hasn't so I can't see how he has been our best player so far. Glad to see Steinsson and Klasnic in from the start, at last.
  3. He shouldn't stop me neither but I am so pissed off at the moment.
  4. Just mobile advertising hoardings. Amazes me that anybody other than kids would want to wear todays replica shirts. For the amount we get off our new hideous (and morally dubious) sponsor we would have been better making a stand and saying no one is fit to sponsor the shirt (bit late I know but it would look much better) or donating the space to a charity like say Derian House for a number of games. And don't get me started on those flashing electronic advertising boards. They should go........now!
  5. I am just saying how I feel. And you and the rest of the happy clappy 'Megson is not so bad' crew are welcome to him next season. You can all sit together congratulating yourselves on how you are true fans and how the atmosphere is better without moaners. And in reply to Traf, I bother at the moment because win, lose or draw I'm a Wanderer (apart from already having a season ticket!) I don't want to watch it in the pub and if things aren't going well, wander off to the fruit machine/home or whatever that isn't me. I go to the match and there's three generations of Bolton supporters sat together cheering the lads on, I see people I went to school with, others I only see at football and I have always enjoyed it. But and this is something the pro Megson lot don't seem to accept the guy is draining away my enthusiasm. I don't enjoy going anymore and it hasn't got anything to do with winning/losing. We are going BORING & CLUELESS under Megson. He is a shit manager end of story. He will never have as high profile a job when we finally get rid of him- let's see where he ends up. We have no system, no plan B.He has brought some good players in but has not got a clue how to get the best out of them, e.g. Muamba. His team selection is awful, players played out of position, he is stubborn and never admit's he is wrong. He constantly refers to BWFC as 'this football club' and has made no attempt to win people over. Off the field he does nothing for the club either, he says that's not his job. I'm sorry but I don't agree with Casino that we could have won the Blackburn game. Admittedly they were no great shakes but we never looked like we would take anything from that match. We got battered by a team with eleven sucessive away defeats! His after match comments often make you feel worse and after the last match there are clearly problems in the dressing room, the players probably rate him as highly as the rest of us. He came to us with a stinking reputation of upsetting people and having his favourites. What has Steinnson done wrong? I preferred watching us under Sammy Lee than Megson any day. Get rid of him ASAP, there are alternatives.
  6. I just don't get the first series at all. The other three are piss funny though. Think the cheese is from Series 2. 'Your breath comes straight from Satan's bottom' -that one IIRC.
  7. OK take the point, Sam came from the lower leagues but I just don't get this Darren Ferguson vibe!
  8. Avram Grant, so I think it is good news for us. Pompey for the drop and Ferguson to be linked with every vacancy from now on. Really can't see why we would want him, I mean Peterborough FFS, we need a better pedigree than that but given Megson's CV before us, the wife beater could be on the way NB
  9. It's the people that are going now that say they won't be going next season under Megson that should concern Gartside. I'm in that camp.
  10. That's why I thought it made good sense for Megson to cash in on Nolan when he did. If he'd tried dropping him no doubt Nolan would have done what he did to Sammy Lee. So why oh why did Megson go on record as wanting Nolan back?
  11. Why? In the hope of getting some loan signings from down the road? (For Ferguson not neceassarily the loan signings!)
  12. P.S. Should have mentioned that I don't think Gartside will act just yet. Thing is though, the bottom line is money. I know we can all whinge and moan and make empty threats but fact is I honestly do not think that I will renew my season ticket (and lads) plus my dads if Megson is still here next season. I have had one for twenty plus years. Now I know there are those who will say good riddance, not a proper supporter, and that's fine, better off without you etc but it is just how I feel. Megson has sapped my enthusiasm so much that I no longer enjoy going. The teams he picks, the tactics, the demeanour of the bloke, his attitude and stubbornness, the way he talks about this football club, I have had enough. Talking to other supporters theres a lot feel the same and they are not all bedsheet waving, trackie bottom wearing nobbers either. Gartside doesn't take much notice of what the fans say/want and quite rightly most of the time but he is going to have to do something regarding Megson soon or there will just be Casino and his crew left next season.
  13. I hope that when Megson is finally fired it's not before a replacement has already been sorted out. Let's not have any of this being turned down by our preferred choices and looking like desperate twats, like Newcastle. Given that I want rid but not just an anybody else will do, I'll put these suggestions to be shot at. 1. Steve McLaren, forget about England. He is a high quality coach, did very well in a top job somewhere before Middlesbrough. Did wonders at Boro (look at them since) and had the balls to go abroad to repair his reputation and look at the job he's done with Twente. Would he come here? Probably not but if he wants a return to the Premier League who knows? 2. Alan Curbishley. Kept a similar sized club to us in the Premier League for years. Didn't do too badly at West Ham either. If Gartside is honest with him from the start and he knows the score regarding transfer budgets, clubs finances etc he might come. Certainly wants a way back into Premier, why not with us. 3. Craig Levein. I know doing great things at Hearts and now Dundee United won't get him many brownie points on here but does appear to be a solid young manager with a reputation for finding good players on a budget. He had a disastrous spell at Leicester (hang on that sounds familiar!) but there was all sorts going on there. I think he would be a man on a mission to prove he can do it down here, in the big league. I think he'd turn Scotland down for us anytime. All 3 of these would IMO be a massive improvement on Megson If none of the above were available or won't come then Gartside is going to have to raid the lower divisions and hope to come up with the right choice of up and coming manager.
  14. Well we will just have to agree to diasgree then. I think I am being balanced. Davies and Jussi to me, are our two best players. That's part of the true picture as I see it.
  15. Might not have cheered up but at least it made me smile. 9-1. That plus the result at Tannadice.
  16. No it is not a fact it is your opinion. Last time I dared to disagree with you, you accused me of not having a clue about football. Are you related to Casino? No, but you both seem to think you're the oracle because you're on here so often. And if you think Elmander put in a better performance than Davies (even though he was poor by his standards) then you were watching a different game to me. Elmander wasn't the only one who was shite today by any means but he hasn't built up any 'credits'. And for someone who doesn't like people jumping on the same players every week you + Kevin Davies= Broken record.
  17. Yes quite right. Anyone who says anything different to you hasn't got a clue. Blackburn won because they are managed better.
  18. Definitely not having that arguement again. Just tell me what exactly has Elmander ever done for this football club? Play him every week and we are down.
  19. He may be but fact is he bossed that midfield today. We had no one similar in midfield, no one to lead by example and get a grip on the game. Blackburn were no great shakes but they were organised and played to a system because they have a manager who knows what he's doing! Wrong selection, left it too late to change it. Make no mistake we are in deep trouble. I would say we are going down but we might get lucky AGAIN with a team doing a Reading and imploding. Going to be a lot closer than it needs to be with the players we have. I would love to know what Gartside sees in Megson? And don't even get me started on Elmander or what has happened to our defence. Desperate.
  20. I don't like Mary Poppins but at least he picked an orrible cnt to kick in the head! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Well actually, Robbie Savage (the Welsh one of course), or Joey Barton, or Dennis Wise. Actually theres a good few, any more nominations?
  21. Too right. Anybody (Refs included!) can make a mistake but when they are as biased as that cnt was that is hard to take. I know I'm viewing it as a Wanderer but I honestly have never seen such a reffing performance as outrageous as that. Really really glad that Ipswich have the evil pikey they deserve each other, justice has been served by what happened to them and us after that play off. Barry Knight. Maradona. Never forgotten. Never forgiven.
  22. His mum and dad's chippy on Thicketford Road was beltin'. Must admit I went to the one on Bury Road last week and was disappointed, fish was very greasy. Chae's on Tonge Moor Road best for chips IMO.
  23. I'm glad Ireland haven't qualified. Seeing/hearing the English media treat them as if they are a home nation pisses me off no end. They are as foreign as the French to me and they wouldn't give us the time of day. No green plastic paddies, leprechauns,'impeccably behaved' Oirish Green Armee,Guinness drinking pikeys in South Africa suits me fine. You can bet your bottom dollar most bog trotters will be supporting whoever plays England despite many of them purporting to follow the rags, Liverpool,Arsenal,Spurs etc. Figure that out! But it must be said France were bloody awful considering the talent at their disposal. That clown Dommenech makes our Meggo look like the Special One.
  24. I think he would score more goals for us than Vassell and Elmander combined. That might not be saying much I know.
