As Boby said, 5 great days of test cricket. For a while yesterday we felt we could get the runs, but it was always a big ask. Cummins and Lyon out of Melbourne and possibly Sydney tests. I’m expecting Pope and possibly Duckett to be omitted with Bethell given a chance in Melbourne. Adelaide is a fantastic ground for cricket, almost 203,000 attending over the 5 days. We fly to Melbourne this afternoon. Looking forward to what will be a lifetime dream to be at the MCG on Boxing Day.

Lyon could be key for them today, he is the leading test wicket taker at this ground. Forecast 40 degrees today so that should test the likes of Starc and Cummins. Important to initially get through Starcs first over and hopefully some of the batters have learned from the mistakes from the first 2 tests. Saw quite a few at the game from Bolton yesterday. Bumped into Bobby Brno and his lad in a bar in the city after the game. Highest ever attendance for a cricket match at the Adelaide Oval, 56,298.

Took grandson to his away game this morning in Wigan. To be honest weather wasn’t too bad at 9am kick off, straight after kick off the wind and rain started. Game abandoned just short of 4 minutes!!! It was all down to their coach wanting the game on, and even when the ref stopped the game he was the only adult wanting to carry on. It was farcical!!

Blackburn leading Ipswich (down to 10 men) 1-0 with 11 minutes to go and the ref abandons the game due to waterlogged pitch. As the fans are leaving the stadium the PA guy is playing Why Does It Always Rain On Me by Travis 😂

I remember being at the reserves when the first team was away on a Saturday. Lots of radios at folks ears and the Radio Manchester jingle ‘ it’s a goaaal’ and the moments silence waiting for which team had scored.

First of all thanks for reading, acknowledging and concerns and thoughts. As the saying goes, it’s good to talk, and I’m finding it is good to talk. Pamela came out of induced coma Thursday morning. But unfortunately had to be put back into induced coma overnight on Thursday. Had a scan yesterday and has further complications added to original diagnosis. So potential endoscopy operation on Monday in Melanores hospital, but if specialist isn’t happy he is well enough equipped to do this operation, then she has to be transferred to Las Palmas hospital where better equipped specialist will try and sort this added complication. That is on top of all the original stuff going on why she was admitted.

Thanks for your concerns, it is most appreciated. Doctors say she is slightly better today, that’s the first day that has happened. Small possibility she be may took out of coma tomorrow. But still a long way to go. Insurance all in place and all medical costs being covered. Managed to stay in the hotel where I am, but insurance only goes so far as room only. We was all inclusive on holiday but now I’m half board as they don’t do room only so I won’t get back full accommodation costs, but to be honest I’m not fussed cos I’d rather stay here as I know all the staff and they have been fantastic with their support. But I could have done without other dramas going on that I’ve had. Car parking saying I’m going to be charged £15 a day, that’s now been waived after me having to contact various different departments only by email. Then yesterday on my first visit to see her in intensive care, doctor told me she was being transferred to hospital in Las Palmas later in the week which is much further away for me. They said she was being moved as there was a more specialist doctor there for her condition. Then on my 2nd visit later on, they said she is not moving now. The real reason for the move was the hospital hadn’t been paid by the insurance company but they received the money at 3pm so she would be staying in Maspalomas.

Thankfully l know longer need to know now, and thankfully somebody at Manchester Airport has realised the seriousness of my situation and prevented me having a potential large car park charge on my return as I was being advised I would be charged a £15 a day overstay charge, even though they knew my situation and potentially I could be here a long time. You know when you just want to offload sometimes, I’ll just share the nightmare I am going through. Myself and Mrs FW came to Gran Canaria on holiday on 17th November and were due to come home Sunday 1st December. Unfortunately she became ill during the night of last Wednesday/Thursday. I took her to hospital. She was admitted into hospital initially to stay overnight for observation. But then as each day went by her condition deteriorated, until Monday when she had to be put into an induced coma. So now we are in the hands of the medical team here, who have been fantastic. This is just so surreal. It’s unbelievable how there was no warning signs of any illness, it just appeared out of nowhere.

I know this sounds weird, but does anybody know anybody who is currently on holiday in Gran Canaria who may be going home soon.
