  1. Megson made some absoultely desperate signings didn't he.. Rasiak, Ariza Makukula (who was probably a month off being fit when he signed), Danny Shittu, Ebi Smolarek Parky is way above Megson for me
  2. I think our best shot at going up was 2nd place, which is over now. We'll make the playoffs but understandably none of us will be confident in that when it's groundhog day with every outing. Burstow deserves a run now. Took his goal really well and seems fired up.
  3. Definitely worth waiting if you didn't watch it yet, It will be even better with the match highlights.
  4. 90 min Watched it last night, its fantastic, only thing is I wish they had included the highlights he was watching (not sure if thats maybe a regional version issue - every time it showed him watching an important moment or goal, it just showed still images, and only post match interviews etc. were shown in full).
  5. the period that made this Canadian a Bolton fan for life.. can't wait to watch this
  6. As an international fan - while these things do bug me, I also want to say how much improved Wanderers TV has become over the years.. I can distinctly recall subbing to ifollow when it was first offered. The Bolton FM simulcast was often out of sync with the actual match. Technical issues with the feed were a regular occurence. And Derek Clark (on his own) was average at best. Fast forwards to today, rarely are there ever feed issues, the Bolton FM nonsense only intrudes during pre match and halftime (there is one fella on there whose voice and cadence makes me want to stab myself in the ears). And most importantly, Derek and John have become an excellent partnership. Super John in particular I feel could do color on a much bigger stage. When you hear some of the simpleton ex-players SKY puts on their 6th/7th/8th string comms, SJM sounds like a real pro.
  7. Great first half, Barnsley look well off it.
  8. Victoria Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Maybe I will stick around and contribute after all these years, at least when I catch the games live (most weeks, but 7am here for 3pm kickoffs). Maybe I will even run into the greatest poster in the history of forums, @little whitt
  9. I watched us spank Arsenal back in the premier league days and it was love at first sight.. the club chose me as they say. Most folk from here who don't have family connections end up following one of the big plastic clubs, I can't think of anything more boring than that. Sadly no 😅
  10. I don't think this board needs the opinions of a Canadian Bolton fan with no family ties to the club 😅 but I appreciate it. I come here to read and I appreciate the broad range of opinions (joined 2009). Over time I've whittled off checking other board because WWays seems the most authentic and tons of you are multi generational fans, something I'll never experience so it's just a nice aspect of following the club from afar.
  11. Just a lurker here. Was well pissed off that day and had a knee jerk reaction. SS in.

    Take Over

Pretty sure he got turfed after getting a little too free and loose with the racial epithets.

    Take Over

Breaking over 10 years of Wways lurkdom to extend my sincere thanks to Howard. More and better information about this latest debacle than all news media combined. Between Howard, John Galt, Watsmore, Maximus et al. there has been more excitement in this thread than the players have dished up all season.
