Last home game against Sheff Utd 83/84 season is one that will always stick in my mind............they brought at least half the attendance that day around 6 or 7,000 of them...they were battling in the manny road north for all the game.....there were plenty in the burnden paddock seats near me and there was a few exchanges, remember them charging us in the burnden paddock and everyone scattering... a vast number of them were in the embankment end.........but when the game ended that was when the real fun began....i got chased everywhere.it was just a free for all. remember two groups of fans throwing bricks and bottles at each other all the way to green lane, on manchester road. i was about 18 then and was pretty scared.

i went to this one, we got in the side terrace(were the players come out) about 2pm and they shut the gates very soon after, i remember the noise, incredible and we were packed together like sardines. met some Bolton fans after the game who had come on the coach and never got in the ground and i think some arrived after the kickoff.... that was some day....

i remember this guy from my lever end and burnden paddock days didnt know him but i think he was from the Breightmet area....he always started the amusing chant with everybody copying what he shouted including the funny laugh...and yupa yupa yupa shout.... god i miss those days
