  1. But this is poor little Wigan and non of it was their fault..
  2. Reeks of desperation no idea what division the club will be in. Haven’t a clue who or what we need to flog. Very little time for you to review the finances but you definitely need to cut the wage bill in half. Payments due stacking up left right and centre. But hurry hurry if you’re interested in buying the club could you give us a million quid now...
  3. 4pm today, appeal rejected, all ‘interested parties’ walk away, club on deaths door, jelly & ice cream after my tea
  4. Doncaster already been ruled out apparently. Talk of York...
  5. Ok pal. White wasn’t Barrows for one. Platt? Maybe but again he wasn’t Barrows for two the only other one linked, Rooney? We were already covered with deals in place the clause was put to him in negotiations and he happily accepted it. Not interested was pretty much the response but you crack on
  6. Trust me, I’m bang on the money
  7. 2 year deals too (aside from Doyle) Which gives everyone some reassurance never a fan of the 12 months. Shows uncertainty on the player from the club, feels like the player is just desperate to be earning money and is a yearly transfer merry go round
  8. I know that. But he wasn’t bothered about whether that was a condition or not as he didn’t want them anyway
  9. Just read one clown say “what a remarkable job he did on a shoe string budget” it’s the budget that’s fucking them over in the first place 🤣🤣🤣 absolutely simple
  10. A fit for purpose wing back Rather than shoe horning someone in 👍🏼 said it before and I’ll say it again, Evatt doesn’t want any of the barrow lot. He doesn’t need them. He’s clearly had his eye on certain players that probably would’ve been out of reach there. They aren’t here
  11. Santos at 6’5 & Taft at 6’4 I sense another Wheater and Beevers season approaching
  12. Darcy is a link man. Playing between the lines. Wouldn’t want him anywhere near our back line he’s one you give the ball to once you’ve got it not expect him to go and get it
  13. Which is around only 2/3’s of their monthly salaries which are due this week. That wage bill for a club of their size and turnover they generate is why people are being put off left right and centre having no money to pay staff yet spunking a million quid on an appeal which they won’t win. Laughable
  14. Makes sense I suppose. The cap hasn’t even been agreed yet or hadn’t prior to yesterday’s EFL meeting so contracts signed pre decision can’t be included as you may be at risk of breaching it from day one if they were.. as the EFL have to approve every signing we make we have clearly demonstrated we can afford them
  15. Amen. You reap what you sew. people claim there’s a silly ‘minority’ within the fan base of every football club. Sorry, it wasn’t the minority of those wankers who wanted us gone it was pretty much all of em. If the worst had come to the worst they would have lapped it up. Songs, flags the fucking lot. i have no sympathy for any fuckers who have made it their mission to hate us and revel in every negative result we have, any relegation, every news article. Some of them even tipped up taking the piss on that TV broadcast outside the ground. for all of that, fuck every single one of them and I sincerely hope the worst possible outcome is landed on their toes. Whatever that may be. If they don’t suffer in the same way we have and end up where we are If not worse I’ll be mightily pissed off
  16. Think it became abundantly clear to the Whelans when he handed it over to his nephew that without the senile owd twat funding it it was only a matter of time before this happened they got out for a reason..
  17. Yeh but the fact I’m making is our ridiculously oversized wage bill was being cut so to a prospective buyer the work is already underway. Wigan haven’t got that luxury
  18. Delusions of grandeur that mob for no reason whatsoever I’m under no illusions that we were saved due to the ‘assets’ the club has. Granted theirs aren’t too bad (majority ownership of the ground etc) but that’s where the similarities end far bigger and more stable support base for us, we were already under a huge cost cutting exercise under KA. They’re nowhere near doing that. The ask of any prospective new owners over there is bankrolling or asset stripping straight away. In the 3rd division. With poor crowds etc. We’d hit rock bottom and the only way was up. They’ve some way to go to get there yet and no one will want to steer them through that as attractive as Bury when you break it down really
  19. Gives me a lovely warm feeling inside. Every step of their demise will be welcomed greatly in to my house and should be mirrored in every BWFC fans homes had a little bit of empathy for the shakers but it was still amusing even though we were bang in the shit. This is 100% joyous
  20. Be ST holders only initially. If that doesn’t drive people to get one to get their football fix along with this new wave of positivity, nothing will
  21. Last time they came was the FA cup game. Stayed in the griffin and turned over half their numbers who were coming back through town off the train got smashed to bits in the Bricklayers the season after and not seen since
  22. If I had a fucking clue who was in this league it would maybe register a click on the fuckometer
  23. They’ve had the upper hand a couple of times but as said above, picking off smaller numbers last few occasions they’ve been absolutely walloped. Bee Hive before the game and dual carriageway behind Scott’s after the game in particular last time around
  24. Couldn’t give a fuck about the club personally. But understand why the younger lot hate them. I grew up with the blackburn rivalry 20 or so years ago when we both went down and were challenging for promotion etc so they’re the ones for me it’s the fans that are the irritants. Similar to bury. But bury are like a little annoying fly you’re happy to swat away. Wigan’s are like a yappy little mutt constantly biting at your ankles. Eventually you just smash it right in the fucking teeth no matter how shit we are Bury are always worse and Wigan always try to be us. Bless em both

    Anelka

Full of praise for us as a club, rated Sam as up there with Wenger as the best managers he worked under and playing for us was the favourite point of his career remember just after we’d signed him we were at Charlton. He was just sat on the bench. Just kept looking over thinking “weve fucking got Anelka”
