    Keith Hill

I never wanted him in the first place and he's done nowt to change my mind. You can claim all you want about having his hands tied and how we should be lucky to have a club and any other stuff along those lines but he's had a group of players here that for the first half of the season were more than capable of getting results. Bizarre tactical decisions, a real lack cohesion and plan have been the main reasons as to why we haven't fulfilled on that capability. Not a lack of talent available to him. He had the opportunity going into December and the Christmas period to get a couple of results, go and fight and give us a chance and they blew it. Now it's a lost cause, players aren't even considering us as a viable option, our own players have all but given up and Hill's head has well and truly gone. I'm not speaking just for myself because admittedly I didn't have much time for him to begin with but any and all good will that fans had after the start of this season has been erroded and wasted by a shambolic mismanagement of this season and what it could have been. I don't see the point in giving him the rest of this season and the start of next, he's got nothing to build upon, shown no tactical ingenuity, no ability to find and utilise talent, no composure. We're just wasting time on a manager that isnt capable of salvaging this situation to build into next season in League 2. (League 2, disgusting.)
  2. Feel for Buckley, injury was completely impact and just so unfortunate, but really he should never have been out there to get hurt.
  3. I'd live to see him never take one again.
  4. Yep that was dreadful, the attempt to win the first ball was also nonexistent. Genuinely the worst sequence of defensive football I have seen from a Bolton side in a long time.
  5. That defending by Edwards for their goal was comfortably the worst sequence of defending I have ever seen in professional football. And I genuinely don't think I'm being hyperbolic when I say that, just dreadful.
  6. I remember Nugent getting the shit torn out of him a good few years ago by a couple of lads down the row from me in WSL when he was warming up as a sub and he was absolutely loving it, laughing along, giving some back. Everyone within earshot thought it was hilarious, I've liked him ever since and he's a proper player at this level, I'd be delighted if we pulled that off.
  7. I absolutely missed it, hard to follow that sarcasm in a thread where other points being made with sincerity aren't far off that tone. My bad though, back to lurking with my popcorn for this particular shit show of a discussion.
  8. This, also, sounds somewhat racist.
  9. See... When you say stuff like that, that shit sounds racist.
  10. I'm starting to think I was young and impressionable and the man crush might have been too much for me... Him and Muamba were brilliant together though, no one can take that away from me.
  11. In fairness seeing what Modric has gone on to, he's obviously better than Holden ever would have been but at the time I still say he was the better midfielder.
  12. I once claimed he was better than Modric when he was at Spurs. And you know what, I stand by it, at the time he was a better player so who knows what he could have done. Likely wouldn't have been with us much longer though, but then again would we be where we are now had his injury not happened? Might have won an FA Cup, might have not been a car crash the next year, who knows.
  13. Absolutely fair, but as I said, I'm more interested if we change to the 3-5-2 at all or go narrower up top. He'll do as we are but he is very similar to Taylor.
  14. Not a bad signing, gives us the depth we needed at left back. Would have maybe preferred someone with pace and athleticism to allow for a change of style but I'll take what we can get at this point.
  15. Fair enough, I don't know the intricacies of the Aberdeen first team. He made 42 appearances last year though and is now playing for Salford, I'm going to assume money played a big part in that move.
  16. He's 30... Money talks. Ironic really after Neville was so up in arms about the lack of funding for grass roots football only a month ago.
  17. That's fair, but keepers usually go to these lesser teams on the scholar loans or whatever they're called to give us the freedom to recall them or play them in U23s, I think that's the idea rather than it being a reflection of his actual ability. A lot of big clubs are keeping an eye on his development and have been for a while, I'd hate to see us waste that potential. On the other hand though goalkeepers do have a lot more time to develop and he is still only 19 so I can probably stop worrying.
  18. I didn't intend for that to trend towards being so negative, I just started worrying myself as I listed the things we need and thought about how many we'd missed on. I like a lot of the business we've done so far but I do think we lack some quality depth in key areas and time is running out somewhat.
  19. Missed out on 2 goalkeepers, first choice left back went to Wigan, outbid by Sunderland for a strikerand Ireland in for a trial after getting injured in his first one. So safe to say a bit behind. Luckily we looked a lot better than anticipated on Saturday so some of them aren't desperate, I'd be focused on a left back and some midfield cover currently. Like to see Turner back here pushing for a place rather than some aging journeyman backing up Alnwick as well personally.
  20. Imagine him at centre half though? I'm on board
  21. I fear you've missed the reference to Dad's Army there...
  22. I like it, far better than cycling through no mark sports brands and betting companies for a new name every few years. That's tinpot. Stick with this, it'll find an acronym or shortened version that works (I like UBOS) and we'll all forget about it in a month anyway.
  23. He's shite. We need a ball winning midfielder regardless of Vela's injury outcome.
  24. Looked to me like a lower leg break as well, hope I'm wrong though and it's nothing more than an impact injury. Can't believe the challenge didn't get brought back for a foul though.
  25. Madine is so important to us playing well, problem is getting the midfield up and around him. Vela has had a good game but been forced deep and wide by a lack of support from Darby. Hopefully Buckley can provide more help to the front two this last 20 minutes.
