Anyone think a tie against a premiership side in January might be a good scalp to take and give the team a lift for the run in to the end of season?

Think it will be a cagey first half as Dougie seeks to get a shut out and clean sheet at home. Second Half he will make early changes to formation and I see a potential 2-0 win. Be interested to see the starting line up, wouldn't be surprised if it is the same as the Blackpool game. Consistency seems to be the key word that Dougie uses so don't expect radical changes, I think the crowd today will play a crucial part in how the team perform particularly if the first half isn't lively. What about Rafa Benitez with Sammy Lee as his assistant - probably can't afford him but they would make a difference with our squad's potential. Were a winning combination at L'pool until the usual fan expectation blew them away! Lives in the NW as well so no relocation fees!

A wildcard guess is that because they won the trophy 5 times they earned the right to keep the trophy. A new champions league trophy was commissioned after their win in Istanbul. :ball: :ball:
