  1. I think the team we had in August 1982 was stronger than the one we have now.Tony Henry is just what a 2nd Division midfield needs and Peter Reid was obviously better than Tony Henry
  2. I couldn't bring myself to vote for the unelectable gawp Milliband and didn't vote for the first time ever in any general or local election. It was like being asked to vote for a Bolton manager and only having the choice of Megson.
  3. It'll be bouncing at the "Dinner with Dave Whelan " event tomorrow night.
  4. I agree. To suggest that Lennon is going to bring in 7 or 8 new first team players with a two bob budget who will make us a better team than the likes of Wolves, Sheff Weds, Blackburn, Derby and Ipswich is ludicrous.
  5. Charlton, a fortnight ago
  6. What don't you understand
  7. What's he on then? A £5 million offer from Swansea was rejected 2 seasons ago so he is obviously on huge money for the 2nd Division
  8. And we're paying Mark Davies 30 grand a week aren't we?
  9. They're a horrible little club, im delighted to see them down. Never forget them getting the match in the 4th Division postponed because it was a bad time for them to play us.
  10. West Ham and Sunderland both fined for fielding an ineligible player in the last 2 seasons but little Rotherham with no money get deducted points. Its right they are deducted points but the games bent. Its all about money. I think Wigan have to beat Wolves tomorrow to survive. If they get 3 points they'll stay up if they don't they'll drop.I suggest the Wigan haters put a few quid on them winning for a bit of compensation
  11. + if its true he's selling for £30 million, he'll have more than doubled the £14 million he paid for the club
  12. No trophies for Liverpool this season, but they've still got the 30th anniversary of Heysel to commemorate
  13. We've all been voting Fortune and he went on as sub and made the winner. BOOOOO
  14. Star Wars is the blockbuster film which the new cinema in Bolton town centre will be opening with in December.Happy days

How many points did Brian Clough have for Nottingham Forest after the same number of games
  16. Tranmere are a small Merseyside club with a shite history, shite present and a history of employing cunts. They had cunts on their payroll in the 87/88 season. They got a match postponed against us when they had a long injury list by refusing to pay the police bill, Aldridge was another cunt on their payroll a few years later. But at the end of the day they are a small Merseyside club who aren't even local never mind a serious rival. If we want to look 35 miles for a rival we have more in common with Everton than Tranmere. Fwiw id rather Tranmere go down than Wigan of the two.Tranmere fans wanting to be our rivals annoys me more than Wigan fans.At least the pie eaters are local.
  17. You might have a rivalry with Tranmere in your mind, i've not. I couldn't name one Tranmere player or even their manager, they mean nothing. And yeah i saw them beat us at Wembley when we were shit.
  18. We'd had 60 years in the top division and had won 4 Fa Cups before Eddie Davies. Wigan had had 0 years in the even the 2nd Division and no trophies before Dave Whelan Massive, massive difference in the stature of the clubs. They are not worthy of us, ignore them.
  19. Bang on Wigan are a small lower divisions club who had a sugar daddy to give them an unbelievable 10 years with the big boys. Please don't give them the status of being our rivals. Without a sugar daddy they'll go back to being a little club like Exeter or Hartlepool who we'll only get to play when we are shit.
  20. Oldham in the Lancashire Cup, their pitch at Springfield Park was being relaid or something and a Lancs Cup tie was played at Boundary Park. We beat them 1-0 JohnThomas
  21. I must have seen us win away at Wigan 8 or 9 times on 3 different grounds. They will be the team ive seen us beat most away
  22. 0/9 at Bury in the 80s/90s. The only time we won there was in the League Cup under Rioch and i couldn't be arsed with it after losing the first leg 2-0..
  23. That photo is from the home league game against Spurs. Neil McNab scoring from a shot outside the box but it was disallowed, and thats the Spurs following on the Embankment
