  1. Right I'll get this over early doors before I shut th'internet down till Tuesday. I've given it out in the past so must be big enough to take a few back. Well played today...absolutely no complaints whatsoever. You did to us what what we have done to you so many times..your team wanted it much more than we did. That said all 4 goals came from mistakes from a poor defensive display. It is only 3 points but feels a bit more just at this moment...we both move on now . I expect both of us will challenge this season but maybe you a bit more after today. That's me over and out with social media until about Tuesday.
  2. Well here we are again, 6 months older and deeper in debt. Where to start ? ...this is a tough one to call. I would not be surprised if all 3 results happened i think its that close. I don't know a lot individually about your new lads but look hard to beat going off the results but not converting dominance into wins . We have also acquired some good players but the most important thing is we have Matt Smith fit again as he makes a lot of difference. If you allow him to do his thing we will win this...if you stop him you win. We played Doncaster off the park yesterday and should have won by 5 and he ran the show. All of that said the biggest asset you should have is a collective intent because if you go into the game ( as a team and support ) with a half arsed its just another game it tips the balance our way. If nothing else we are coming right up for it and bang in fettle. Apart from bragging rights the season won't be decided Saturday so if offered a draw right now I think I would take it. As always stay safe if a little on the dejected side come Saturday afternoon.
  3. For christ sake man it's only a bit of lighthearted fun. After we won previous I haven't been on here taking the piss and wont hang around now either. If we do play next season I'll discuss it with you before and won't hide after either ( that's if someone doesn't go scuttling off to a mod screaming " there's a nasty man on our board " and gets me binned off. Like I say, that's it over and done and see you next time, whenever that is.
  4. I'll keep it brief for obvious reasons but at last you win your cup final. 2 shit teams and if you hadn't won this you'd have never won another because we have been truly dire for a few months now and can't score a bastard goal to save our lives. If we manage to somehow fall over the line and survive we will play you again next season because on that showing you ain't going anywhere higher anytime soon. Ah well enjoy it while you can I suppose as we have these last 10 years. Be a good day in Bolton too Sunday for the open top bus parade around town so hope the weather holds. I'll finish on a high nice touch the laying of a wreath for the poor lad Darren and in our joy or dejection at the result of a game of football somethings are, or should be , of more importance. See you next season ( hopefully ).
  5. Reet, I'll keep it brief for obvious reasons but win or lose i said I'd give my honest opinion. I thought the tempo was set in the 1st 5 minutes...the high press had you flummoxed from the off and if I was a Bolton fan my biggest complaint would be that Evatt didn't realise this and change things. Apart from a spell in the 2nd half I felt utterly comfortable and I feel 2-0 flattered you overall. You have the team to push on from this but is Evatt the man to do it ?... don't know but that's your business. I've no doubt you'll be up there in the play offs...not sure when the return match is but will correspond the day before. Happy Christmas.
  6. Can I just add i will come on here Saturday neet with 1 post. I won't gloat if we win and I won't hide if we lose. I will try to give an honest assessment of what goes on. Good night.
  7. Well whoppee do here we are again...it's that time of year when you get your arses handed to you on a platter...right that's out the way I'll talk serious. Where do I fuckin ' start ? The summer recruitment at Wigan was poor and the style is turning most of us to drink...it's a tough one because Maloney is held in high regard due to 2013...but it has started to turn septic with changes to the team for no reason and confidence is low. If you don't win this you'll never win another fucker ever. Our defence is solid so a 0-0 or nick a 1-0 is the best chance. If you score you don't lose If you score 2 you win That said on the day we can beat anybody but can also stink the place out annall. You score early im going home. You haven't beat us in 10 years and I'm hoping that continues but I've got a feeling of doom. Up the Tics.

I didn't say that though did I ?... I said Posh will run away with it or Oxford will nick it which is slightly different. Keep up.

Oo eck, play off time. When you're too close emotionally to the action it's difficult to offer a reasoned opinion ( like you lot are ) so if I may here goes from a pie eating perspective. I'll try to be as unbiased as local rivalry allows and I'm going to have a flutter to keep my interest alive so to speak so here's my pick. Barnsley...Great start to the season but what a shitshow since including a change of manager. You lot will stroll past um with a 3 goal advantage over 2 legs ( 2-1 and 3-1 ). Tuther match is a much closer job. All teams fear momentum and Oxford have it just now. Peterborough have the mentality that if you score 3 we score 4 but Oxford are organised and this one will go either 1 of 2 ways. Posh click into goalscoring mode and run away with it or, Oxford nick a tight double header which is my choice. ( 2-1 Oxford then 2-2 at Posh ). Reet final...another very close match. I wouldn't be heartbroken if Oxford nicked it as that would guarantee us 6 points off you lot next season but I honestly ( through gritted teeth ) think you lot edge it 3-2. There's a fiver going on this series of scores. So , in conclusion if this lot comes to pass our paths may not cross for the foreseeable which I've no doubt breaks your feckin hearts but either way enjoy and al si thi.
  10. I said I would comment win, lose or draw and I will. My game isn't to gloat either and its a one off post. The way we play at home was exactly on show last night ...it fucking infuriates most of us but we sit back , allow the opposition uncontested ball and say what you got ? Well the answer will not be popular with you but it's very little. Your play is excellent and very tidy to watch but it is hurting nobody and honestly I thought we had better chances in a 5 minute spell than you had all night. Ridiculous decision to take that lad off who looked excellent. Can you go up ?...ofcourse you can but you need to sharpen up and go for the throat with a bit of urgency and you'll be reet, but fanny around with all the possession and it only takes 1 mistake and, well you know. We have nothing to play for and could be stuck in this piss poor league for years so may not play you again for years but when we meet again I'll have a catch up in the run up to it ( that's if I'm still drawing breath ). Good luck and bon voyage.
  11. Head now above parapet. Was just waiting to get your collapse at Blackpool out the way first before I posted, as I said I would in the run up to the match. On the match, fuck me not a clue. We are up and down like a yo-yo great one minute and crap the next. Mostly our possession is high but it seems to consist of piss farting about with it across the back four and isn't pleasing on the eye. You lot, consistent mostly but nerves might play a part as we approach the business end of the season where no fuckin point is easy won. I really do think it can go either way and I know that sounds like a cop out but it could come down to one mistake. You will probably go up ( just ) but honestly believe we will edge this ( also just ) but wouldn't be surprised by any result. Pitch is ok. So to sum up, get your collective nerves jangling and I hope that transfers to your players on the night but and more importantly I hope everyone returns home safely with no mishaps etc because at the end of the day its blokes kicking a bag of fucking wind about and nobody outside South Lancashire gives a shit about either of us. Whatever happens I will share my thoughts on proceedings after the event ...win, lose or draw.

Wasn't going to post on here till the end of February but I'll make 1 today for obvious reasons. Rivalry means nowt for this lad now and I wish him a safe journey . God bless pal from a Wigan fan.

Can't argue with any of that...something else springs in my mind too. Very important week for both our managers...on one hand you have Evatt who has to instill in his players that Saturday has gone and one bad result doesn't make them a bad team. On the other hand Maloney has to instill in his players that Saturday has gone and one good result doesn't make them unbeatable. Like last week only 3 points up for grabs but its how both sides react will define our immediate futures.

Those amongst us who have been watching years know top 2 is stretching it. Survival was our initial aim but after seeing our games upto now even older sceptical fans like me are starting to think a lower end play off berth could be doable...ofcourse you're right regarding squad depth , I have these concerns when I look at the bench. Its a strange league upto now though where every bugger looks beatable...take Posh for example ripping it up then lose at Northampton ( who weren't half bad at our place to be honest ) and Barnsley have caved in . Oxford look decent, Derby spluttering but will come good eventually. Still think you lot will finish top 2 and I'd take 6th now for us. Anybody driving to Burton careful you don't turn south on the M6 at Stoke as I did 2 years ago...adds 27 miles onto journey going down to Stafford and doubling back.

First off I'm not here to gloat but I said I'd post one win or lose. What a strange day where you had loads of possession but did little with it. You are loads better than that though and I believe you will go up but I remain optimistic we can make the play offs. Our young lads stepped up big time and in a game of fine margins did things correctly. Thought we may miss Morrison but Watts played well as did young Hughes. Our two young lads in midfield were excellent. It was just one of them days where nowt went right for you but I've no doubt you'll bounce back after today. Like I said I'm not here to take the piss so ill sling my hook.
