  1. Morley is an interesting call, as are Tutu & Dacres-Cogley. I like D-C but Christie offers a different solidity. I'm not anti Tutu either, maybe Gale needs a bit of care. Erhahon maybe also bit he'd get my call over Morley. Anyway, I'm not the manager.
  2. Your memory fails you then. 50+ years, to a Bowtoner, is like an hour ago. But yes, focus on tomorrow. Unless Aston does the half-time draw. I note that he runs Petz World in Stalybridge and has a market stall in Glossop, selling pet food and supplies. I may pop by.
  3. In my old days we just would play him anyway and give him another players name.
  4. Don't fret. It'll be you.
  5. 4,446 2-1 Stevens, Brookman 1 Felgate 2 Brown 3 Cowdrill 4 Brookman 5 Crombie 6 Winstanley 7 Storer 8 Thompson 9 Morgan 10 Stevens 11 Darby Sub Henshaw (for Storer)
  6. Infantino & his cronies are just a development from Blatter & Platini. Ronaldo being given such clear favourable treatment is outrageous but sadly predictable. Thankfully Ronaldo is a shadow of his former self and the only one who doesn't see it is Ronaldo himself. Poncing around the pitch throwing cobblers & sulks, demanding he takes every free kick despite not having scored from one this century. Daring his managers to not pick him or to substitute him, falling out with teammates & cutting dead any journalist who dares comment against hi...... (Where's he gone ? Dunno. But he was criticising Ronaldo when he disappea...)
  7. Ta. I understand none of this new-fandangled nomenclature.
  8. Would that be like a '10' ?
  9. Did that once, terrace row near Goodison. They fckd off & I came back to a parking ticket. Though, tbf, 4 wheels & not smashed or scratched. I gave 'em a shite rating on 'Pick-a-Trade'.
  10. The voice of reason.
  11. Well, he finally made his debut (as a 78th minute substitute) on the weekend, but was not in last night's squad with a brand new manager. Unless he picked up a knock in his cameo that's a bit odd. Don't see him happy to drop a division so soon but yes, Evatt & he may fancy a loan.
  12. Only if you addend 'complete & uttter' to it.
  13. It's more than called for. Bolton v Luton, FA Cup 4th round, as recently as February 1973, 39,500 on, he spent the whole game kicking, mauling & abusing our young team and winding up the Bolton fans. If it really upsets you I call him a twat then I offer cunt as an alternative. Take yer pick.
  14. Is Johnny Aston still involved. Twat.
  15. With two sent off.
  16. Here's a blind spot, or not. I see him moving into midfield during his career & doing very well indeed there.
  17. I still do. Never stopped. Like 'the Gillette Cup' it got in first & will never go. Now, I'm off to get a pound of bacon and a pint of milk.
  18. If Stretford had won they'd have gone 5th. Despite being dog-shite. How the fck did they lose v 10 men, for 80+ minutes, at home ?
  19. So, a #10 eh. Lovely. Need to shift a couple first mind.
  20. Interesting if Evatt doesn't see him as a 'maverick' he can tame. The last thing this squad needs is a disruptor.
  21. It hurts enormously that we see Wrexham's fails as fodder for us. Jeez.
  22. Agreed. Smallish sums but magical. The bollox about him not understanding a lass serving in a fast food shop is such shite. We signed him believing Campo was leaving. The day after Campo did sign. Hamann must have realised he was going straight onto the bench & so got in contact with Citeh who'd been trying to get him.
  23. Ditto and Ditto. Somehow, at Wycombe, he gained a 'God's Gift' tag & fair play to him but he really is the definition of 'bang average'.
  24. Owd Teddy S-L put in a few saves today.
  25. Liverpool 0 - 3 Forest. Slott's not turning this round, is he ?
