  1. ... or 'Banks'.
  2. Tomo/Thomo covers a few options. Byrom. Do you tell Eidur "down" ?
  3. SS may well see something in both McAtee and Randall but God knows what it is. Morley similarly. Darlby looked like a blind faith recruit & it still does. He HAS to see other examples.
  4. Blimey. That's not supposed to happen.
  5. Interesting. I saw Morley, yesterday, being touted as a started instead of Sheehan or Dempsey & was unconvinced. I also like that Wycombe fans will be thinking 'wtf ?'. If SS prefers TuTu then I can trust that. Dalby ... maybe Burstow needs a rest & a reset. Two proper wingers & TuTo too (see what I did there !?) it's a great chance for Dalby to shine.
  6. ... & Sordell was a compensation prize for so very nearly getting Wilfried Zaha. He was a shite manager & should have been shown the door season end after the Stoke semi-final but he did spot some talent.
  7. I'd love Warren to 'make it'. His early inclusion in the Summer seemed the stuff of the dreams most fans had & early reports were very promising, but I suspect you're correct.
  8. Or Infantino. FIFA's prize piece.
  9. ... "a mental health episode" then ?
  10. On Morley & Wycombe. By all accounts Wycombe are absolutely broke. 'Not a penny to rub together' level broke. ... & I'm not sure we'd loan him out. Maghoma. SS saw him first hand. He'll certainly know about him. I'd expect any future loan move for him would be Championship. As a purchase ... possibly too expensive. I'd certainly love to see him.
  11. Infantino was a few £grand before you can watch.
  12. ... & you were doing so well ... till you said "transitions".
  13. Except when we loaned Daniel Sturridge from Chelsea & he was a goal machine Elmander sulked like fck. I recall one goal at t'Reebok nine players ran to Sturridge to celebrate & one went nowhere near. Guess which.
  14. Could be a useful addition to ADC or Gayle's armoury.
  15. On line with two old workmates, one in Philadelphia, one in SanDiego. Both sports crazy. Whilst it'd be an exaggeration to say they're unaware of the '36 World Cup it'd be only just. It's not penetrative that it's rolling along, or it's scale, or it's pricing.
  16. This is a forum, so floating addled whims is what it's about, like being half-pissed with a bunch of mates & coming out with shite. This though is up there with the most lunatic of the lot.
  17. Yep. Every week we see a 40-50 boot going in coz the keeper was 30 yards out. It's the current fashion, I understand it, but it has its downside & we will see it pulled back a bit.
  18. Determined to make it hard for us. In the end the result is all.
  19. So a 1-1 draw then.
  20. Well the USA, who really see it as a girls game and oooh, let's say Canada for starters.
  21. Andy Dribble
  22. Aaah, God bless you. Staff sickness, a couple of localised strikes and 'overrunning engineering works' will put paid to that.
  23. As I have predicted for ages. Effectively playing 'quarters'. It'll be bigger nets next. Then banning draws. We shouldn't let non-footballing nations run World Cups no matter what money they bring. In fact LESS money would help the sport recentre itself.
  24. A tight, scruffy win, in terrible conditions, against an injury ravaged side brought down to 10* men very early. But it's a win away from home and 3 points. I suppose all we can do is take those points & move on to the next match ... & hope we win with a tad more style. *I do hate the "it can be harder to play against 10 men" bullshit. No it can't. OK, they retreat & go solid but their creativity is lost so the 11 men can be more adventurous, more creative. The 10 men will tire. If push comes to shove an old-style 'get it in the mixer' will force an error.
  25. It was awkward ... superceded by the next hour being equally awkward throughout by all accounts.
